It is also not non-corporeal, and as an antidote to that, one is manifestly attached to that very thing with other words and letters. I am neither corporeal, nor am I non-corporeal. If one observes the corporeal or the non-corporeal, if one observes it as small, then one sees it as finite. If one observes it as immeasurable, then one sees it as infinite. If one observes it as exhausted, that is, the part of form is small and the part of formlessness is immeasurable, or the part of formlessness is small and the part of form is immeasurable, then one sees it as both finite and infinite. Or, as an antidote to that, if one is manifestly attached to various letters and not manifestly attached to various things, then one sees it as neither finite nor infinite. Liberation is seen as non-dual. To those who assert that atoms are permanent, one should say this: Do you want to examine atoms without having examined them, or do you want to examine them after having examined them? If you want to examine them without having examined them, then it is not right to say that without examination it is certain to be permanent. If you examine them, then it is not right because it contradicts all valid cognitions. Do you think that atoms are permanent because they have small parts? Or do you think they are permanent because of the coarse substance of the fruit and the characteristic of being different? If you think they are permanent because they have small parts, then it is not right to say that whatever is small is permanent because it is extremely weak. If you think they are permanent because of the difference in characteristics, then because it goes beyond the characteristics of earth, water, fire, and wind, it is not possible for the fruit to arise from dissimilar characteristics, and it is not reasonable for the characteristics to change into something else, so it is not right. Are atoms and coarse substances different in nature, or are they not different in nature? If they are not different in nature, then because there is no cause and no difference, they will also become permanent in the same way, and it is not certain as a cause, and it is not certain as a result, so it is not right. If they are different in nature, then are atoms composed of individual atoms, or are they composed of assembled atoms? If you think they are composed of individual atoms, then all results will always arise, and it cannot be determined as a cause.

There is also no result. Because there is no definite result, it is not acceptable. If it is thought to come from assembled things, then, is the body form not existing separately from it? Or is it thought that the body form exists separately? If the body form does not exist separately, then it is composed of the material body, and it will become the body itself, so it is not acceptable. If the body form exists separately, then, because the atom has no branches and no distinctions, the gross matter will also become permanent, which is not acceptable. Or, even if a previously non-existent atom arises, it cannot be said that the atom is permanent. Is the formation of coarse matter from atoms like seeds, etc.? Or is it thought to be like potters, etc.? If it is like seeds, etc., then it will become impermanent like seeds, so it is not acceptable. If it is like potters, etc., then the atom will become conscious, so it is not acceptable. If it is neither like seeds, etc., nor like potters, etc., then it is not acceptable because there is no visible example. Do external things arise for the sake of sentient beings? Or is it thought not to be? If it is thought to arise for the sake of sentient beings, then the gross matter arises for the sake of sentient beings, but its basis, the subtle matter, does not arise for the sake of sentient beings, which is not acceptable, who can stop its power in that way? If it does not arise for the sake of sentient beings, then the arising of external things becomes unnecessary, so it is not acceptable. Thus, for the aggregates, sentient beings subsequently remember, and one object, the continuity of all consciousnesses arises, and the changes produced by feelings and sensations, and the unchanging, the thoughts of the past limit, and the thoughts of the future limit, saying permanence is not acceptable. Through observation and non-observation, and general characteristics, and self-characteristics and creation, and the four necessities, saying that atoms are permanent is also not acceptable. Therefore, this statement is also not produced by reason. Even so, the characteristics of permanence should be stated, that is, the characteristics that do not change at any time.

Itself, as well as the characteristic of being unchangeable in all aspects, as well as the characteristic of self-nature being unchangeable, as well as the characteristic of being unchangeable by others, as well as not being a living being, whatever that is, one should understand that it is the characteristic of permanence. Seventh fascicle. What is it that speaks of previous actions as the cause? It is like this, here there are some ascetics or Brahmins, etc., as it is extensively stated in the sutra. What is called "whatever is experienced by this individual, this person" is considered from suffering. What is called "arising from the cause of previous actions" is considered from arising from the cause of evil. What is called "like this, old karmas will be purified through asceticism" is considered from practicing intensely in this very life. What is called "new karmas should not be done, and they are purified by washing with water" is considered from non-virtue. What is called "in that case, there will be no leakage of faults later" means that it is definitely virtuous, so there will be no leakage of faults later. What is called "if there is no leakage of faults, karma will be exhausted" is considered from evil. What is called "if karma is exhausted, suffering will be exhausted" is considered from arising from the cause of previous actions and arising from the harm of this life. What is called "if suffering is exhausted, one will become the terminator of suffering" is considered from the continuation of other lives, like the naked ascetics. Why do they see it this way and say this? It is done through scriptural authority and reasoning. The scriptural authority is the same as before. What is the reasoning? It is like this, here some people are logicians, and this is also the same as before. They see that the actions of individuals in this life are confused. For example, in the world, they see that suffering arises even when one is engaged in correct actions, and happiness arises even when one is engaged in wrong actions. Therefore, they think like this: if this arises from the cause of the actions of individuals, then it should be the opposite of this. Like this, it has not become the opposite. Therefore, they think that this arises from the cause of previous actions. Therefore, they see it this way and say this. To this, one should say: Is the suffering arising from the harm of this life
