Completely declining from decline, all roots of virtue are severed, all roots of virtue are connected, death transference and birth. How does one conceptualize on an object? One conceptualizes with seven conceptualizations. What are those? Conceptualizations that are with signs, without signs, entering by their own nature, seekers, individually distinguishing, afflicted, and non-afflicted. What is the conceptualization that is with signs? Regarding things previously experienced, the faculties are fully matured and one is skilled in terminology. What is the one without signs? Following the past, contemplating the future, and what is the conceptualization of newly learning and not being skilled in terminology. What is entering by its own nature? Regarding an object that is nearby, what is it that enters by its own nature solely through the power of the object. What is a seeker? What is the conceptualization of completely seeking and practicing the dharmas. What is individually distinguishing? Regarding completely searching and examining, and then establishing, what is the conceptualization of individually distinguishing. What is afflicted? What is the conceptualization that has looking at the past, has manifest joy in the future, has excessive attachment to what is happening now, and the conceptualization of desire, the conceptualization of harmful intent, the conceptualization of harm, or any conceptualization that corresponds to any affliction and near affliction. What is non-afflicted? What is virtuous and unspecified, and the conceptualization of manifestation, the conceptualization of non-harmful intent, the conceptualization of non-harming, or any conceptualization that corresponds to any virtuous dharma such as faith, and what arises in conduct, what arises in the place of crafts, or what is the conceptualization of transformation transforming, just this becomes conceptualization on an object. How does one attend to an object? Generated by reason, generated by non-reason, and attending by not being generated by reason nor being generated by non-reason. How is it generated by reason?

So, what is this about? For example, the four inversions, namely, the inversion of perceiving permanence in impermanence, the inversion of perceiving pleasure in suffering, the inversion of perceiving purity in impurity, and the inversion of perceiving self in selflessness. Therefore, one does not add to what does not exist, nor does one slander what exists and is true, such as saying there is no giving, etc. Or, one does not slander with such wrong views, but with the wisdom that abides in the Dharma, one truly knows and fully understands things as they are, or with the transcendental pure wisdom, one truly realizes all dharmas as they are. Like this, it is produced by reason. The opposite of this should be regarded as produced by non-reason. What is neither produced by reason nor produced by non-reason? It is relying on the wisdom that has not been taught, to think closely about the dharmas, like this to think closely about the object. How does one make someone drunk? One's own or another's body is weak, one is not accustomed to drinking alcohol, one drinks very strong alcohol, or one drinks without restraint. How does one make someone go mad? One is drawn by past karma, one's elements are imbalanced, one feels fear and dread, one is struck in a vital spot, or one is possessed by spirits. How does one make someone fall asleep? One's body is naturally weak, one is weary from fatigue,

English

How does one do it? Knowledge such as the place of action of body and speech arises first, from which the desire diminishes, from which effort begins, from which effort arises first, and the wind corresponding to the actions of body and speech arises. How does one become free from desire? By being free from desire, by the complete maturation of the corresponding faculties, by obtaining corresponding instructions from others, by completely abandoning the obstacles in between, and by practicing mindfulness correctly and without inversion. How does one completely fall away from the state of being free from desire? By being naturally dull in faculties, by newly entering the path of virtue, by not attending to its form, signs, and characteristics, by correctly taking and abiding in the Dharma that leads to complete degeneration, by being obscured by afflictions, and by being completely controlled by evil friends. How does one sever the roots of virtue? By having sharp faculties and possessing the Dharma of particularly engaging in sinful thoughts, by finding friends who are in accordance with this, by making the entanglement of wrong views even stronger, by ultimately going to extremes, and by not turning back or regretting engaging in all sins. Among these, the seed is also a root of virtue, and non-attachment and so on are also roots of virtue, because they are incompatible with the universal practice of virtue, they cause the continuum to exist, and severing the roots of virtue causes the seed to sprout. How does one connect the roots of virtue? By being naturally sharp in faculties, by seeing friends, relatives, and supporting companions diligently engaged in meritorious deeds, by going to the presence of holy beings and listening to the holy Dharma, and by generating doubt and ascertaining understanding. How does death and rebirth occur? Death and rebirth occur when the lifespan is limited. Death can occur with a virtuous mind, with a non-virtuous mind, or with an unspecified mind, due to the exhaustion of lifespan, the exhaustion of merit, and the non-abandonment of pride, therefore one should know when it is the right time and when it is not. What is the exhaustion of lifespan like? For example, how do some people here
