These are the five dharmas of the six aggregates of consciousness. Through these, namely, nature, location, object, companion, and function, one should also understand that expertise in the aggregates is also summarized. One should also understand that expertise in the realms, expertise in the sources, expertise in dependent origination, expertise in what is and is not, and expertise in the faculties are also summarized. One should also understand that the nine objects of the Buddha's teachings are also summarized. What are the nine objects? They are the object of sentient beings, the object of enjoyment, the object of birth, the object of abiding, the object of all afflictions, the object of complete purification, the object of various kinds, the object of the teacher, the object to be taught, and the object of retinue. Among these, the object of sentient beings is the five aggregates of appropriation. Its object of enjoyment is the twelve sources. The object of birth is the twelve links of dependent origination. The object of abiding after birth is the four foods. The object of all afflictions and the object of complete purification are the four noble truths. The object of various kinds is the immeasurable realms. The object of the teacher is the Buddhas and their Shravakas. The object to be taught is the mindfulness and other aspects of the path to enlightenment. The object of retinue is the eight retinues, namely, the retinue of the Kshatriya caste, the retinue of the Brahmin caste, the retinue of householders, the retinue of ascetics, the retinue of the four great kings, the retinue of the thirty-three gods, the retinue of the Mara's realm, and the retinue of Brahma. Summary: Assembly and gatherings, time and characteristics, conditions, virtuous and other distinctions, expertise is all objects. The second Mind Ground from the Yogachara Bhumi is complete. Fourth fascicle. What is the ground with investigation and analysis? What is the ground with only analysis and no investigation? What is the ground with neither investigation nor analysis? In summary: Realm and characteristics, according to the way and not according to the way, afflictions are not the last. These three grounds are, the realm should be known.

The establishment of bases, the establishment of characteristics, the establishment of proper attention, the establishment of improper attention, and the establishment of complete defilement should be understood as being established by establishment. In summary: numbers, places, and measures, life spans, enjoyments, births, and bodies, causes and conditions are all vast. What is the establishment of realms? It should be known as eightfold: the establishment of numbers, the establishment of different places, the establishment of the measure of sentient beings, the establishment of the life span of those sentient beings, the enjoyments of those sentient beings, the establishment of complete enjoyment, the establishment of birth, the establishment of body, and the establishment of causes and conditions. Among these, the establishment of numbers is as follows: There are three realms: the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. These realms are the belonging. By means of skillful means, the aggregates are prevented from decaying. The uncontaminated realm, which is without elaboration, is excluded. Among these, all of the desire realm and, from the first dhyana of the form realm, except for special meditative absorption and birth, are places with conceptualization and examination. Special meditative absorption and birth are without conceptualization, only with examination. If someone cultivates this, they will attain the Great Brahma. From the second dhyana onwards, the remainder of the form realm and all of the formless realm are places without conceptualization and without examination. Among these, it is called the place without conceptualization and without examination because of the way of being free from attachment to conceptualization and examination. It is not because there is no examination at all. For example, those who have not separated from desire among desires can also, through the distinction of the key point of attention, sometimes cause the mind's activity to be without conceptualization and without examination. Also, among those with conceptualization, those who have separated from desire can also generate conceptualization and examination. For example, those born there and those who arise.
