Two is the destruction kalpa. It and arising are, if asked how does it arise to act? It transforms in four ways, namely, it arises by the power of desire, the power of memory, the power of object, and the power of habituation. What is the power of desire like? In whatever is subsequently attached to, the mind largely enters and arises. What is the power of memory like? In whatever very much grasps the characteristics, and very brightly grasps, the mind largely enters and arises. What is the power of object like? Wherever the object is very coarse, or very pleasing, abiding nearby, the mind largely enters and arises. What is the power of habituation like? In whatever is very familiar, and very completely familiar, the mind largely enters and arises. If it is not like that, then for one object, constant attention will only arise in one way. Two moments of the five aggregates of consciousness also do not arise simultaneously, and it is also not certain whether they will arise mutually in succession. After the five aggregates of consciousness that arose in one moment, the mind consciousness will definitely arise. Immediately after that, if it becomes distracted, then after that, a consciousness or any of the five aggregates of consciousness will arise. If it does not become distracted, then after that, the second mind consciousness called determination will arise. By seeking the mind consciousness and the two of determination and pleasure, one also distinguishes it. For it, afflictions or virtuous dharmas arise from the two causes of distinction and previous attraction. For it, the mind consciousness arises from both causes. For the five aggregates of consciousness, it arises only from previous attraction. From the attraction of afflicted and virtuous mind consciousness, immediately after that, for eye and other consciousnesses, afflictions and virtuous dharmas will arise, but not through distinction, because they are non-distinguishing. Therefore, eye and other

The various classifications of consciousness are called following the consciousness of mind. If a single mind, or its subsequent is called consciousness, then how is a single mind established? It is established through the moment of mind that applies names, not through the moment of entering. What is the mind that applies names? Relying on a single word, for a single object, for how long does recognition arise, that is called a single mind. Similarly, for the one who goes, it is also called one. Different from that is called two. For this, the consciousness of mind is without effort, is distracted, and for unfamiliar objects, there is no arising of desire and so on. The consciousness of mind is said to arise from being near, and only focuses on the past. The mind that arises after the five aggregates of consciousness, if seeking or determining, if its object is its target, then it is only the one with the present object. For this, consciousness can recognize the nature of all things. That which has not been recognized is called the nature to be recognized by consciousness, and this is recognized through attention. For this, what is the nature of loveliness and unloveliness and liberation from both, that is recognized through touch. For this, what is the nature of benefit and harm and liberation from both, that is recognized through feeling. For this, what is the nature of the sign of name, that is recognized through conception. For this, what is the nature of accomplishment that is correct and incorrect and liberation from both, that is recognized through thought. Therefore, from the mind-born attention and so on, until thought, these are all grounds, all times, all will arise. What is attention? It is the entering of the mind. What is wisdom? It is the collection of the three. What is feeling? It is experience. What is conception? It is universal knowledge. What is thought? It is the mind manifestly accumulating. What is desire? For the desired object, following it and wanting to do it. What is faith? Whatever that
