Because of fully understanding and relying on inverted views, do not slander the Dharma from the perspective of the Dharma, nor slander non-Dharma from the perspective of non-Dharma. Do not show non-Dharma as Dharma, nor show Dharma as non-Dharma. Do not show non-discipline as discipline, nor show discipline as non-discipline. The main point of this explanation is, in short, that the four kinds of pervasive disturbances among the Dharma categories well-spoken by the Blessed One, namely, the pervasive disturbance of affliction, the pervasive disturbance of non-afflictive discrimination, the pervasive disturbance of savoring, the pervasive disturbance of argumentative speech, and abandoning the pervasive disturbance of slandering the path, explain the path. This should be understood as the brief explanation here. The arising of similarity and dissimilarity, and being delighted inwardly and abiding in equanimity, the Able One abandoned the formations of existence. Like being born from an egg, breaking through the shell. This is called a verse. When the Thus-Gone One became the Bodhisattva of the last existence, he obtained the arising of the form body adorned with the thirty-two major marks of a great person and the eighty minor marks. Later, he awakened to the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. When he became a Thus-Gone One, the arising of his form body was similar. The arising of the name aggregate is dissimilar because it is without outflows, therefore it is not similar. When the Thus-Gone One is delighted inwardly, relies on becoming a renunciant, and is proficient in that concentration, just as he abides in equanimity, he abandons the formations of life, that is, he abandons the formations of existence. By abandoning them, the arising of the similar form body destroys the arising of the dissimilar name aggregate. For example, just as a crow chick born from an egg, because of growing up, breaks through the eggshell it relied on and appears, similarly, the Thus-Gone One's destruction of the form body and the name aggregate should also be understood as similar to that. Destruction is like this, the Thus-Gone One

Without abandoning the aggregates of life, reaching the end of life, and demonstrating the time of Nirvana, is to abandon it without reaching the end of life, and to completely pass into Nirvana by cultivating the power of Samadhi. The brief explanation of this statement is: In short, the Blessed One abandoned his own aggregates of life, and relying on the four causes of abandonment, showed the destruction of the form body and the name body. This should be understood as the brief explanation here. There is no mire like desire, there is no demon like hatred, there is no net like ignorance, there is no river like craving. These are verses, these four dharmas that make one lose autonomy, are those that exist in the world by imputation. They make sentient beings lose autonomy, like being trapped in a mire, being possessed by a demon, entering a net, and being carried away by the strong current of a river. Similarly, these four non-righteous dharmas that make sentient beings lose autonomy should be understood as making one lose autonomy. What are the four? For example, here some people born in the desire realm are attached to the impurity of desire, attached to the mire that smells fragrant and foul, and have no autonomy in cultivating, guarding, and increasing virtuous dharmas. Furthermore, some people here renounce desires and ordain in the well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya, but they are angry and have thoughts of anger, and are by nature displeased. Therefore, due to anger, they lose autonomy, and countless violations of the precepts occur. They pierce and slander those who practice Brahma-faring with arrows of words, and inflict harm and reproach. Furthermore, some people here renounce desires and ordain in the wrongly spoken Dharma and Vinaya, and they enter the net of views shown by the great delusion of the evil demon. Having entered in this way, they lose autonomy to escape from Samsara. Furthermore, some people here are born and exist in the higher realms free from desire, but they have not abandoned the bonds of craving.
