That girl, having seen the sinful deeds of others, certainly thinks and very certainly thinks in four ways. What are the four? Through transgression, wrong livelihood, carelessness, and laziness, she truly sees that the sinful unwholesome deeds of this life cause the unpleasant results of this very life to ripen; and through the differences in the bodies of sentient beings, meaningless actions, and completely seeking meaninglessness, she truly sees that having previously committed sinful unwholesome deeds causes the unpleasant results of this life to ripen; and through the various efforts of kings and ministers, she infers that the sinful deeds of this life cause the unpleasant results of the next life to ripen; and through the death and birth of sentient beings, the sinful deeds of this life cause the unpleasant results of the next life to become manifest. Having understood it as it is in that way, it is as if she does not do it herself. What is the bondage of karma? It is being universally delighted in karma, karma being heavy, and not having autonomy over the ripening of the fruits of karma. Among these, being universally delighted in karma is: for example, some people here are accustomed to sin, so they are very delighted in sin, so that their minds do not turn to virtuous Dharma. This is like the first bondage of karma. Among these, karma being heavy is: for example, some people here have completely done or done some of the deeds of immediate retribution, and even if they therefore want to be ordained in the well-spoken Vinaya, they cannot obtain it, let alone obtain the fruits of the ascetic's state. This is like the second bondage of karma. Among these, not having autonomy over the ripening of karma is: for example, some people here are born in the bad realms because of the causes of misconduct of body, speech, and mind, and they have no autonomy there, and they involuntarily experience suffering for a long time, or the four assemblies—from monks to laywomen—are born in remote border areas where there is no going. This is the third bondage of karma. The summary of this explanation

That, in brief, is that the Blessed One, starting from the ripening of the karma of sentient beings, has taught proper attention, and the practice of Dharma in accordance with the Dharma that precedes proper attention. It should be understood that this is a brief explanation here. Twenty-third fascicle. The noble ones say that well-spoken words are the most excellent. Pleasant speech that is not unpleasant is the second. True speech that is not unreliable is the third. Dharma speech that is not non-Dharma is the fourth. This is a verse. The so-called well-spoken words are well-spoken, well-praised, and well-explained. Its characteristics should be understood as three types: pleasing, non-afflictive, and virtuous. Among them, the first makes others universally happy. The second prevents one's own discipline from deteriorating. The third encourages others to turn away from non-virtuous states, places them in virtuous states, and accomplishes benefit and happiness. Among them, there are pleasant words, but they are not true, nor are they in accordance with the Dharma. For example, here, some people use gentle words to create joy in others with non-existent qualities. There are true words, but they are not pleasant, nor are they in accordance with the Dharma. For example, here, some people use harsh words with real faults, and with an afflicted mind, they insult others. There are words that are in accordance with the Dharma, and they are also pleasant and comfortable. For example, here, some people know how to create joy and also know how to insult, but knowing how to create joy and insult, they neither create joy nor insult, but only explain the Dharma in order to encourage people to turn away from non-virtuous states and place them in virtuous states. The brief explanation of this explanation is: In short, the Blessed One taught the teachings and explanations of well-spoken words. It should be understood that this is a brief explanation. Faith and shame, wisdom and discipline, generosity. These dharmas are praised by the noble ones. It is said that this path is the way to go to a good destination. Through this, one will go to the realm of the gods. This is a verse. Thus, here
