Furthermore, praying to the gods of the good fortune among humans, the Four Great Kings, the Thirty-three Gods, the Gods Without Strife, the Joyful Gods, the Gods Who Delight in Emanation, and the Gods Who Control Others' Emanations, is also a small virtue arising from generosity and discipline. Through four causes, it should be understood that among humans, the Tathagata is established as the fourfold assembly. Through three causes, it should be understood that those who become gods are established as the fourfold assembly, namely, becoming the supreme master, being revered as a worthy recipient, living with enjoyment that does not depend on others, and living by completely abandoning enjoyment. Through these four causes, it should be understood that among humans, one is established as the fourfold assembly. Because of relying on the ultimate of the ground, the ultimate of the desire realm, and the ultimate of verbal actions, it should be understood that the gods are established as the fourfold assembly. If one dwells in the three places of the world, then the beings of the world will constantly and continuously encounter the eight dharmas, namely, desire, effort, and conditions. If one dwells in desire, then one will also encounter gain and also encounter non-gain. If one dwells in the effort of others' desire or non-desire, then one will encounter praise or non-praise that is secret or manifest. If one dwells in conditions, then from the conditions of happiness of the past or present life, one will encounter happiness and suffering from the conditions of suffering. These eight kinds of faith are the methods by which those who do not return or the Arhats accomplish excellent power and great dwelling, namely, suppressing the internal form perception, and generating non-afflicted faith in external forms; the second is suppressing the internal form perception, and generating subtle faith in the extremely abandoned form that is neither lovely nor unlovely. These three liberations are the methods for accomplishing excellent miraculous powers because of being able to control all forms, and these miraculous powers are not common to all ordinary beings. And believing in infinite space, and believing in infinite consciousness.

And to have faith in nothingness, to have faith in neither perception nor non-perception, and to have faith that even the subtle parts of the mind enter of their own accord. If these five kinds of faith are gradually, thoroughly, and completely cultivated, then they will accomplish the attainment of the supreme state of absorption that stops perception and feeling. When striving for the first three liberations, one should also understand the eight spheres of mastery that are included in the practice path of the three liberations, according to how one sees the forms. Therein, one sees small forms, large forms, beautiful colors, ugly colors, and both ugly and beautiful colors. One sees the external realms that have not been equally placed, which have become the objects of experience. By focusing on the objects of meditative concentration, one subdues them in a way that they do not appear. With the aspect of calm abiding, one knows those objects of meditative concentration. With the aspect of higher insight, one sees them. Just as one knows and sees those objects of meditative concentration, and just as one examines and investigates them, in the same way, awareness arises towards those external objects that are not objects of meditative concentration. In this way, one sees those forms. The eighth place of knowledge of the Buddha's teachings is complete. One should also understand the establishment of the nine all-encompassing practices, which are like those arising from the earth kasina. These nine are the places of birth, and one should know that the sentient beings born in them abide in the same way as them and in those places. Except for the evil destinies, because they become the basis of birth as before. The ninth place of knowledge of the Buddha's teachings is complete. With the ten spheres of exhaustion, one should understand that the needs of the liberations are completely accomplished. The remainder of the liberations, spheres of mastery, and spheres of exhaustion are like those arising from the earth kasina. With the ten limbs of the non-learner, one should understand that the five aggregates of the non-learners are gathered, namely, morality, meditative concentration, wisdom, liberation, and liberation.
