These arise from the seven noble riches. These are the wealth of ordinary people, which cannot be obtained by all accumulations. That is, the joy of having faith, the joy arising from being born in a good rebirth, considering non-self, the joy of no regret arising from not committing all sins, similarly, considering the slander of others, and the joy of having a good understanding of Dharma and meaning, the joy arising from not lacking resources in the future, and the joy arising from realizing the ultimate truth. These various kinds of blameless joy cannot be obtained in any way from all the accumulations of worldly wealth. Otherwise, it is only the joy arising from not being burdened by resources in this life, but it is also accompanied by sins. These seven are the power of the side of demons and afflictions, harming the Dharma, committing sins that lead to bad rebirths, not regarding them as self, practicing obstructing Dharma, disregarding the slander of others, practicing obstructing Dharma, not understanding good and non-good, sinful and sinless, evil and good, the distinctions of black and white, and the Dharma of dependent origination with these distinctions, the mind overwhelmed by the stain of stinginess, holding many vessels and resources, being foolish and narrow-minded, and extremely ignorant. In order to overcome and destroy these powers of the side of demons and afflictions, it should be known that there are only the seven powers such as faith in the noble Dharma Vinaya. These seven dharmas that are contrary to the ultimate Dharma Nirvana are the causes of the decline and disappearance of the holy Dharma. They can be summarized into three kinds of decline: decline of proximity, decline of increasing intention, and decline of action. Among them, craving for excellent Dharma robes and the like, craving for many, and the enjoyment arising from this, is the decline of proximity. Regarding the path and the fruit of the path, Nirvana, not

Excessive emphasis leads to the decline of superior intention. Laziness, forgetfulness, mental distraction, and perverse wisdom are the decline of application. Approaching decline in this regard is attachment, which is the root aspect of non-virtue. The decline of intention and application is ignorance, which is the root aspect of non-virtue. The opposite of these is the white aspect, which should be understood. These seven aspects of the ultimate Dharma, the side of Nirvana, are the noble Dharma that does not diminish and remains for a long time: the wisdom arising from hearing, the wisdom arising from thinking, the wisdom arising from meditation, eliminating bodily harm, material possessions, seeking the Dharma correctly, absence of pride, those who deserve respect, and those who do not deserve respect, distinguishing between respect and non-respect. Among them, hearing is to understand what is not understood. Thinking is to analyze the meaning that has been well determined. Meditation is to abandon afflictions. Eliminating bodily harm is to make abandonment bearable and capable. Material possessions and seeking the Dharma correctly make realization quick. Absence of arrogance is not knowing satisfaction even with little attainment. Distinguishing the differences of individuals is to have no attachment to those who are famous for great merit and to rejoice in those who have few desires. These seven are the places of birth for sentient beings, where the consciousness of sentient beings continuously manifests and exists, except for the evil realms, unconscious beings, and the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. The evil realms are places of sorrow, so consciousness does not remain. Unconscious beings are not because there is no definite arising of consciousness there. The realm of neither perception nor non-perception is because wandering and non-wandering are not uniquely determined. Among them, bodies are different, that is, bodies are diverse, and thoughts are different, that is, thoughts are diverse.

And, conversely, it should be understood that the body is the same and the consciousness is the same. Among them, the world below the Brahma world is where the bodies are different, because the nature of the body arises in various ways. In the Brahma world, those beings who first manifest and achieve there think, "We were created by Brahma." Brahma also thinks, "These were created by me." In this way, those beings have the same consciousness. Everything above the second dhyana is the same in body of light, so it is called the same body. In the abode of the gods of clear light, those born earlier and later develop fear and non-fear consciousness from seeing the flames burning the Brahma world, so it should be understood that those beings have different consciousness. With the seven evil destinies of sentient beings, it should be understood that all the evil destinies on the side of afflictions are included, namely, the side of inferior desire and hatred, the side of medium and superior desire, the side of inferior, medium, and superior pride, and the evil destinies on the side of ignorance, views, and doubt. In seven ways, it should be understood that the Dharma and Vinaya, which are said to be faulty by outsiders, are faulty, namely, the fault of realization, the fault of conduct, the fault of the basis, the fault of thought, the fault of effort, the fault of higher mind, and the fault of higher wisdom. From this point of view, even if outsiders are able to grasp the teachings they have heard, they are flawed because they are in accordance with the four inversions, seek disputes, and only abide near the edge of proclaiming the benefits of liberation. The precepts are exhausted by rituals and livelihood, and are not determined by oneself, so they are flawed. A good friend is one who points out the path of inversion, so it is flawed. Solitude is flawed because the mind deteriorates due to false discrimination. Effort is flawed because there is no means. Higher mind is dullness, desire, pride, and ignorance.
