If it is not so, one will completely lose virtuous dharmas. Conversely, it should be understood as turning towards the virtuous side. These six are the basis of desire, associated with inappropriate attention, and for objects such as form, they are the place where the minds of sentient beings turn to happiness. Just as it is the basis of desire and the place where it turns to happiness, it should also be understood in the same way as the basis of hatred, the place of unhappiness, and the basis of ignorance, the place that turns to neither happiness nor unhappiness. In six ways, the abode with extremely pure nature, whether moving or staying, between the forms that can be known by the eye and the dharmas that can be known by the mind, is extremely uninterrupted, continuous, and without any afflictions, abiding in equanimity. These six dharmas are the respective supports of the five physical sense organs with their bases, not obscuring, guiding, completely protecting, and becoming the masters of all that arises, namely the four great elements, the space element, and consciousness. Among them, consciousness here is the accumulation of merit and non-merit, leading to the next life turning into the fruit of good and non-good. Relying on consciousness, the five sense organs with their bases will not be destroyed or subdued. Even in this life, consciousness, with the mastery of all that arises, enters into actions of good, non-good, and indeterminate. These three places are difficult for yogis to overcome, namely, truly overcoming from the evil realm completely occupied by desire, harmful thoughts, harm, and displeasure, truly overcoming from the universal arising of the characteristics of all phenomena, and truly overcoming from the peak of existence. In order to truly overcome these three difficult-to-overcome places, it should be known that there are unsurpassed antidotes. The first is the four immeasurables, and the second is the samadhi of no characteristics.

It is samadhi. The third is the exhaustion of the pride of "I am." These samadhis, if the incompatible aspects are definitely destroyed, know that they will be completely accomplished. To definitely destroy the incompatible aspects, one must also be good at practicing the antidote, because all of that will not appear. Abandoning the pride of "I am," one will no longer be completely occupied by the doubting mind of "Whether I have reached the ultimate or not." If so, whoever has doubts about what, it cannot be said that they have separated from the pride of "I am." Know that whoever has separated from the pride of "I am" has no doubts. These six are the fundamental basis of disputes, namely: treating those who are incompatible with displeasure; concealing sins; appropriating more of the gains and respect of equals; enticing others with gains such as clothing; violating the precepts; and holding the meaning of the Dharma in a reversed way. These six are the fundamental basis of disputes, which will be abandoned, namely: loving deeds of body, speech, and mind, are the first and second. Sharing gains in common is the third and fourth. Acting in accordance with morality is the fifth. Having the same view is the sixth. These six dharmas will gather all the powers and ultimate achievements of the yogis, namely: the realm of magical powers, the divine ear, past lives, the distinctions of mind, and death and transmigration, are the gathering of powers. The exhaustion of defilements is the gathering of ultimate achievements. These six are the dharmas that become obstacles to the realization of truth for individuals who have not realized the truth, as before, being controlled by the three kinds of ignorance, thereby producing three kinds of perversions, as well as the expectation of gains and the expectation of life. The difference is: seeing, hearing, speaking, and thinking of faults, and for the dharmas that are in accordance, having faulty seeing, faulty hearing, faulty speaking, and faulty thinking, and being very happy about this. That is to say, the mind of an ordinary person who has not realized the truth is very...
