For those with desires, it should be understood that the path of manifestation has three aspects: generosity for the sake of great enjoyment; moral discipline for the sake of going to happy realms; and meditation for the sake of being free from the feeling of suffering and for the sake of being born in a world that is uniquely happy and harmless. It should be understood that with three kinds of desires, all those with desires will become small, medium, and great. Relying on the happiness born from desire, which is laborious and dependent on conditions, such as for those who dwell near desires. Not laborious and dependent on the mind, such as for those who create desires. Extremely not laborious and dependent on the mind, such as for those who create other desires. It should be understood that the happiness of completely transcending the three kinds of attachment will become small, medium, and great: the joy with investigation and analysis; the joy without investigation and analysis; and the happiness without joy. It should be understood that the three kinds of comprehension, by means of these three vehicles, will definitely lead to liberation from all suffering: arising from the cause of hearing the words of others; arising from the cause of each individual's own examination; and arising from the cause of familiarizing oneself with tranquility and insight. Furthermore, there are three kinds of comprehension: having all bonds; the decline of bonds; and the complete non-existence of all bonds. For the sake of the three activities of yogis, from the perspective of three aspects, it should be understood that one cultivates virtuous qualities such as faith: by abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, one obtains the fruit of stream-entry; by abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation, one obtains the fruit of once-returner, non-returner, and the fruit of Arhatship; even after obtaining Arhatship, one will abide happily in this life. From the perspective of viewing all knowable things in three parts, it should be understood that one establishes three eyes: the flesh eye sees forms, uninterruptedness, and things that can be pointed out; the divine eye

The physical eye sees forms, both visible and invisible, with or without intervening obstacles. The eye of wisdom sees all aspects of all phenomena, both with and without form. These three qualities destroy the arising of afflictions and overcome all opposition: not trusting others, dwelling without mixing with householders and renunciates, and individually realizing the true nature of what is to be known. The three yogas of true practice are realized progressively in order to attain nirvana: ethical conduct, mental stability, and realization of the true nature of what is to be known. Just as there are three yogas of true practice, so too should one understand the cultivation of true practice. The three qualities that lead to experiencing the bliss of dwelling in true practice are emptiness, wishlessness, signlessness, the cessation of perception and feeling, the four dhyanas, and the four immeasurables. In brief, the three aspects of one-pointedness of mind lead to seeing wisdom as it truly is: when applying the mind, the aspect of engaging with various and distinct objects; after applying the mind, the aspect of engaging with various and distinct objects; and after the cessation of applying the mind, the aspect of one-pointedness of mind engaging with objects that are neither various nor distinct. The three abodes are: turning back those who are attached to the nature of evil realms; abandoning those who dwell in ordinary discipline; and generating aspiration in those who desire the teachings. That is, truly demonstrating one's own power, as well as the afflictions and pure conduct of others, causing them to act, and truly instructing and guiding them by teaching the sacred Dharma. In order to abandon the wrong view of those who desire purity and think themselves pure by merely washing away external dirt with river water, one should understand the establishment of three true purities, which are the cause of truly liberating from being born in impure places.
