Furthermore, there are two kinds of eyes: the eye born from karma and the fruit of meditation. Among these, the eye born from karma is the eye of the gods. If one obtains the extreme power of one's own karma and the eye of a human, one can manifest all forms without obstruction. The fruit of meditation is the fruit born from the yogi's practice of samadhi. Among these, the eye born from karma is the eye of the gods. Those human beings die from there and are reborn here. Then they die from there and are reborn here. In this way, they can see up to the present time. The eye of miraculous power sees the forms of the past and the future. The eye of wisdom of the noble ones understands the self and common characteristics of all phenomena without inversion. The so-called Dharma eye, the word Dharma refers to the person, that is, the ordinary person and the eight kinds of persons such as the stream-enterer, and how the mind stream of the Bodhisattva persons from the first bhumi to the tenth bhumi is, and if the persons are separated, how many kinds there are, knowing these is called the Dharma eye. Directly seeing all the mandalas of the knowable object and the knower is the Buddha eye. Alternatively, the five eyes can be divided into four types: seeing form, seeing the ultimate truth Dharma, seeing the conventional truth Dharma, and comprehending all knowable things. Among these, there are two types of seeing form: that which arises from the maturation of karma and the fruit of meditation. The eye that is accomplished from the maturation of karma is called the eye of miraculous power, which can see all forms in one world of the three thousand great thousand worlds. The fruit of meditation is obtained from practicing the four dhyanas of the form realm, which can see all forms in all worlds of the ten directions, and this is called the eye of miraculous power. That which sees the ultimate truth, the Dharma that does not cease, is called the eye of wisdom. That which sees the conventional truth Dharma is called the Dharma eye. That which sees the conditioned and unconditioned

Seeing all dharmas, such as the uncreated, is called the Buddha's eye. Or, possessing the physical eye and supernormal powers, the physical eye sees all present forms, and the supernormal eye sees all past and future forms. Comprehending the four concentrations, the four absorptions, and the samadhis is the Dharma eye. Knowing all paths of travel, the nature of karma, various inclinations, and various realms is the wisdom eye. Knowing that the noble Arhats and Tathagatas, under the vajra-like samadhi, eliminate defilements is the Buddha's eye. Receiving predictions is direct perception. Gradually, they also, in speech and so on, receive predictions from the Tathagata himself, and also proclaim the predictions they have received to sentient beings, also with supernormal direct perception, the supernormal eye, the supernormal ear, knowing the minds of others, knowing the recollection of former abodes, knowing death and birth, and knowing the exhaustion of defilements, they receive predictions and proclaim them to others. And gradually, with supernormal direct perception, they go to the Buddha-fields and the abodes of sentient beings in those places. With the supernormal eye, they see the bodies of the Tathagatas and the bodies and speech of sentient beings. With the supernormal ear, they hear the speech of the Tathagatas and the various languages of sentient beings. By knowing the minds of others, they comprehend what sentient beings think. By recollecting former abodes, they see where sentient beings have transmigrated from in the past, where they have died and transmigrated from, and where they have been born. By knowing death and birth, they see where sentient beings, having died and transmigrated from here, are born in future lives. By the direct perception of the exhaustion of defilements, in order to exhaust the afflictions in the minds of oneself and others, they also receive predictions from the Tathagatas and also proclaim predictions to sentient beings. Those who abide and sport, and so on. Those who directly realize abiding and sporting are the Bodhisattvas.

Through the power of miraculous abilities and various manifestations, one engages and dwells in various samadhis within the mandala of the Tathagata's retinue, thereby playing. What is aspiration? Through the power of aspiration known by aspiration. And so on. Accomplishing aspiration refers to the wisdom born from the power of aspiration. Due to the power of the wisdom born from aspiration, just as one has made aspirations, one freely appears in various realms of existence such as gods and humans, and plays by benefiting sentient beings in various ways. Regarding "their bodies, powers, and sounds," and so on. Manifesting in those realms of aspiration and benefiting sentient beings, thus playing in various ways, as is extensively stated in the Sutra of the Ten Bhumis: "Their bodies, powers, and sounds are not easy to enumerate." Among them, "their" refers to the Bodhisattvas who have manifested in those various realms of existence through the power of aspiration. It means that their bodily qualities, the qualities of the power of their minds, and the qualities of their vocal sounds, etc., are not easy to express. Regarding "exercising power, which is exactly how the ten powers are shown," accomplishing power refers to having accomplished the ten powers as explained in the Sutra of the Ten Bhumis: power over life, power over mind, power over resources, power over actions, power over birth, power over aspirations, power over wishes, power over miraculous abilities, power over wisdom, and power over Dharma. Among these, power over life refers to a Bodhisattva who, through the power of cultivating the four legs of miraculous abilities, blesses the activities of life and abides for as long as desired. Power over mind refers to being able to enter immeasurable Mahayana samadhis as desired. Power over resources refers to blessing and raining down various resources from the sky, benefiting sentient beings. Power over actions refers to performing various manifestations through the actions of body and speech, or blessing the actions born in other realms, destinies, and places of birth, thereby benefiting those realms and destinies.
