Furthermore, by meditating with one-pointedness, it is in accordance with samadhi and wisdom. How does it accord? Like "worldly ones and Sravakas, etc." How does it surpass the Sravakas, etc., in the manner of according? Worldly ones also meditate on the four mindfulnesses. Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also meditate. As the Sutra says, "Just as the worldly ones, Sravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas meditate on the mindfulnesses, the Bodhisattvas also meditate in the same way." Why meditate on their mindfulnesses? Because for those who desire the reasoning of the worldly ones' meditation on mindfulnesses, and the reasoning of the Sravakas' and Pratyekabuddhas' meditation on mindfulnesses, it is to reveal and meditate on their reasoning. They meditate on mindfulnesses, therefore, they surpass them in the manner of according. How is it known? Like "knowing the body as an illusion," etc. How does it surpass them in the manner of knowing? The body is known as an illusion. How is it like an illusion? Just as the illusory horse and elephant do not exist in reality, but appear similar to horses and elephants, not being truly real. Similarly, the skandha of form is also like that. Although it does not exist as it appears, it seems to exist, but it is not real, therefore it is like an illusion. Knowing feelings as like a dream, similarly, experiencing them due to inversion. Feelings are known as like a dream. For example, in a dream, seeing enemies, etc., one experiences fear and suffering, and seeing friends, etc., one experiences joy and happiness, although they do not exist in reality, one experiences them. Similarly, feelings are pleasant, painful, and neither pleasant nor painful. Although they do not exist in reality, one experiences them, therefore they are known as like a dream. By clearly knowing the nature of the mind, like the sky. The nature of the mind here does not refer to the mind of other-power, but to the nature of the mind, the perfectly established nature. For example, just as the sky is naturally clear and pure, the perfectly established nature is also naturally luminous.

I know it as it is. Knowing that all phenomena arise suddenly, like dust in the sky, etc. Like that and so on, all the defiled dharmas such as desire, and the purified dharmas such as faith, are known to arise suddenly. For example, the appearance of clouds, smoke, and fog in the sky are not the nature of the sky, but illusory and suddenly arising things. Similarly, the arising of defiled dharmas and purified dharmas in the mind are not the nature of the mind, but are known to be illusory and suddenly arising. How does it arise? Like "thinking and being born into existence," etc. How does it excel in the aspect of arising? It is not born like ordinary beings, under the control of karma and afflictions. But according to the need, for the benefit of sentient beings, thinking and being born into existence, as a wheel-turning king, Indra, Brahma, etc., born with a body that is complete and perfect, and experiencing the cause of happiness, possessing complete and perfect enjoyment, yet not giving rise to afflictive dharmas such as desire and hatred, because it is not stained by afflictions, therefore it excels in the aspect of arising. How is it reduced? Like "because of the sharpness of the faculties by nature," etc. How does it excel in the aspect of measure? Thus, because Bodhisattvas are sharp in their faculties by nature, they meditate for a short time, and they have already meditated in the time of ordinary beings, so it is not a meditation that is only attained in the time of the noble ones. Therefore, although the meditation is small, it surpasses the meditation of those who practice mindfulness, such as Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Why is that? Because they meditate for the benefit of themselves and others, and they meditate on the aspect of selflessness of persons and dharmas, therefore it excels in the aspect of measure. How is it supreme? Like "all those who are complete," etc. How does it excel in the aspect of supremacy? On the eighth ground, the practice of the four mindfulnesses is complete, without effort or exertion, naturally and spontaneously accomplished, so it is practiced in the aspect of integration and near integration, therefore it excels in the aspect of supremacy. Thus, the Bodhisattvas who abide on the eighth ground, in one thought
