Because there is no fear of falling back. Because by examining the Dharma, there is no delusion regarding all afflictions and pure Dharmas, therefore one enters the truth of the path. How does one focus? Because one focuses on the bodies of sentient beings, etc. If asked, in what way does the manner of focusing differ? Hearers, etc., only focus on and meditate on their own body and feelings, etc., while Bodhisattvas focus on the bodies and feelings, etc., of themselves and all sentient beings. Therefore, the focus differs. Therefore, in the Holy Inexhaustible Wisdom Sutra, it is also said: 'How does a Bodhisattva abide contemplating the body in the body?' It says, 'He abides contemplating the body in his own body and the bodies of others,' etc. How does one apply the mind? By not focusing on the body, etc. If asked, in what way does the manner of applying the mind differ? Thus, Hearers apply the mind to the body as impure, to feelings as suffering, to the mind as impermanent, and to phenomena as selfless. Bodhisattvas do not apply the mind to all things such as the body in terms of impurity, etc., but rather apply the mind to everything as being without focus, like the face of the sky. Therefore, there is a difference in the way of applying the mind. How is it attained? Because it is neither separate from the body, etc., nor not separate. If asked, how does the attainment differ? Hearers, etc., meditate in order to be separated from the body and feelings, etc., while Bodhisattvas do not meditate in order to be separated, nor do they meditate in order not to be separated. Therefore, there is a difference in the manner of attainment. How is it not separate? Because it is not separate from the three bodies of the Tathagata, and because one meditates in order to attain them, it is not separate. How is it also not not separate? Because one meditates in order to be separated from the body produced by karma and afflictions, it is also not not separate. Alternatively, in order to attain the three bodies, one does not separate from this body, because the three bodies are needed relying on the body.

It is also not inseparable. If one becomes attached to this body, which is born of the body and afflictions, and whose nature is the suffering of the body, like a boil, one will constantly remain in samsara like ordinary people. This body can also be separated from. Therefore, in the "Inexhaustible Wisdom Sutra," it also says: One should also contemplate the former limit of the body, and also contemplate the latter limit of the body. From there, do not consider this body as me, but manifest and attain the essence on this body that has no essence. What is this essence? It is the body of the Tathagata, the Dharmakaya, the Vajra body, the indestructible body, the steadfast body. I must accomplish this supreme body that transcends all three realms. Although my body has many faults, I must thoroughly attain the body of the Tathagata, which is free from all faults. Therefore, because one sees the good, one uses the power of individual contemplation to enjoy the body that is the abode of the great elements, and so on. How does it accord? It accords with the Paramitas and so on. How does it enter into the difference in a way that accords? Bodhisattvas cultivate the mindfulness of the body and so on, and it becomes an antidote to abandoning the non-conducive aspects of the six perfections, such as stinginess, and therefore accords with the six perfections. How does it accord? If one sees the body and feelings as like illusions and mirages, not real and empty, one will not develop attachment to external and internal things. If attachment does not arise, one will abandon external and internal things, and therefore it accords with generosity. If one is able to abandon external and internal things, one will truly uphold the precepts, and therefore it accords with discipline. Those who abide in discipline, because they do not strike back when struck, and do not scold back when scolded, they accomplish patience, and therefore accord with patience. Those who abide in patience, even if they encounter cold and heat, do not give up doing good, and therefore accomplish diligence, and therefore accord with diligence. Those who abide in diligence understand that the body and so on are impermanent and empty, and
