Although experiencing the bliss of the unpolluted, it is to show that Bodhisattvas, with compassionate hearts, will have special enjoyments arising from the fruits of their giving, and therefore, verses are composed, which is the meaning. How can a mind satisfied with three kinds of bliss, like obtaining the giving of the compassionate, those with enjoyment, with enjoyments, not be so delighted? This means that when Bodhisattvas give, their minds are satisfied with three kinds of bliss. The three kinds of bliss are the bliss of joy in giving, the bliss of joy in benefiting others, and the bliss of joy in perfecting the accumulations of enlightenment. Thus, Bodhisattvas with minds satisfied with three kinds of bliss, with compassion, completely give to sentient beings, and after giving, without seeing benefit to sentient beings, like obtaining joy and happiness. Bodhisattvas give all inner and outer things to sentient beings, making sentient beings have enjoyment, but those sentient beings with enjoyment do not generate joy and happiness to that extent, which is its meaning. Or, compassionate Bodhisattvas, after completely giving to others, see benefit to sentient beings and generate special joy. The sentient beings made to have enjoyment by Bodhisattvas through complete giving do not generate that much joy. Why? Because Bodhisattvas, after completely giving, will be satisfied with three kinds of bliss. The three kinds of bliss are the bliss of giving, the bliss of benefiting others, and the bliss of perfecting the accumulations of enlightenment. The bliss of giving means that when giving, seeing the beggars gathering, the initial joy is called the bliss of giving. The bliss of benefiting others means that after the beggars gather, giving wealth to others, seeing that this benefits sentient beings and feeling happy, this is called the bliss of benefiting others, which is the intermediate joy. The bliss of perfecting the accumulations of enlightenment means that giving up things and feelin

Therefore, seeing that the accumulation of merit and wisdom is perfected by the cause of benefiting others, rejoicing is called rejoicing by perfecting the accumulation of Bodhi, which is the final rejoicing. In the "Verses of Compassionately Accomplishing the Paramitas," compassion arises for those who abide in the opposite of the six paramitas, such as stinginess, and they are made to practice generosity, etc., which is called compassionately accomplishing the paramitas. In order to show it, verses are to be composed, that is the meaning. "Stinginess gives rise to compassion, untamed gives rise to compassion." Here, stinginess means not being able to give up external and internal things, and accumulating unnecessary wealth. Bodhisattvas have compassion for them, speak of the faults of stinginess, and place them in the Dharma of generosity. Untamed means having bad qualities, harming sentient beings through killing and taking what is not given. Bodhisattvas have compassion for them, speak of the faults of bad precepts, and place them in precepts. "Strife and carelessness give rise to compassion." Here, the mind of anger burning up is called strife. Bodhisattvas have compassion for them, speak of the faults of anger, and place them in patience. Carelessness means liking activities such as sleeping and playing, and not doing good deeds due to laziness. Bodhisattvas have compassion for them, speak of the faults of laziness, and place them in diligence. "Being deluded by objects gives rise to compassion." Here, the mind being distracted by the five desires such as form and sound is called being deluded by objects. Bodhisattvas have compassion for them, speak of the faults of mind distraction, and place them in meditation. "Wrong views manifest give rise to compassion." Here, wrong views manifest means clinging to the self as permanent, etc. It refers to those who have wrong wisdom such as heretics. Bodhisattvas have compassion for them, speak of the faults of wrong wisdom, and place them in right

To establish... on... These are about "the opposing factors of the perfections" and so on. From stinginess to inverted clinging to the path, these are the opposing factors from generosity to the perfection of wisdom. For those sentient beings who dwell in the opposing factors, the bodhisattva's loving-kindness is called compassion. Moreover, refuting those opposing factors, and so on. Stinginess and so on are also the opposing factors of generosity and so on. With compassion, condemning the faults of stinginess and so on, and causing the practice of generosity and so on, for accomplishing the perfections, it is called loving-kindness. In the verse called "showing the cause of compassion": Just as eye consciousness and so on arise from object, cause, lord, and immediate condition, the bodhisattva's compassion also arises from object, cause, lord, and immediate condition, these four conditions. In order to show this, this verse is composed, this is the meaning of the verse. Arising from the cause of pleasure and displeasure, is the bodhisattva's compassion. This verse shows the object-condition of compassion with half. Among them, as the object of compassion, it is made for pleasant feeling, painful feeling, and neither pleasant nor painful feeling. From cause and virtuous friend nature, is the bodhisattva's compassion. This verse says that in other lives, practicing compassion, so accumulating the habit of loving-kindness on the alaya consciousness, this is the cause-condition of compassion. Relying on a virtuous friend, compassion arises from hearing the true Dharma, this is the lord-condition. The previous moment of mind and mental factors with compassion ceases, and with the same nature, the later moment of mind and mental factors with compassion arises, the cessation of the previous moment is the immediate condition. Taking the three kinds of feelings as objects, compassion is made with the three kinds of suffering. The bodhisattva takes pleasant feeling, painful feeling, and neither pleasant nor painful feeling as objects.
