From now on, completely turn away and enjoy the benefits, the meaning of which is to no longer be attached to them. "If one encounters many supreme enjoyments," it means that if one has no attachment to the results, even if one does not desire the results, one possesses the vast mind of a Bodhisattva, and by following the nature of Dharma, one gives charity. Then, one cannot help but enjoy vast benefits, and wherever one is born, the Bodhisattva will always encounter many vast enjoyments. "I do not desire those pleasures, I desire the continuation of giving," it means that even if one encounters vast enjoyments, the Bodhisattva does not desire those pleasures of enjoyment. So what does one desire? One only desires that the results of such giving, in other lifetimes, can continue to give and practice charity. "Because one constantly gives charity, one does not desire constancy," and so on. It means that even if one constantly encounters vast and supreme enjoyments, one has no attachment to the pleasures of enjoyment. Otherwise, the results of my complete giving, in other lifetimes, can constantly be given to sentient beings, and it is only the uninterrupted practice of giving. "For completely giving away all possessions, compassion constantly watches over me," it means that compassion teaches charity in this way: compassion holds all external and internal wealth, and giving is not for the sake of seeking the results of giving, but because of compassion for sentient beings, one gives away everything one owns without attachment. It is not only giving away external and internal wealth, but also completely giving the results of giving—vast enjoyments—to sentient beings. Thus, if even the results are given away, then, O giving, why do you not let the results ripen on sentient beings, but constantly look at me, surround me, and let the results ripen on me? The results of giving should also be given to sentient beings.

The meaning of "not seeking reward" is, O generosity, you should know that compassion has no attachment to the fruit of generosity, because it does not seek the fruit of generosity, so compassionately giving the fruit is unreasonable. The fruit of generosity should also be given to sentient beings, O generosity, you should understand it this way, this is the teaching of generosity. Whatever I know with compassion to completely give away the fruit of generosity, and so on. Compassion constantly gives all my inner and outer things and their fruits to sentient beings, and it is only constantly giving to sentient beings with compassion. There is no attachment to the fruit of generosity at all, you should understand it this way, that is its meaning. In this way, the Bodhisattva follows the teaching of generosity. As mentioned above, O generosity, you should understand it this way: compassion has no attachment to the fruit of generosity, therefore, the fruit should not be given to oneself, but the fruit should be enjoyed by sentient beings, O generosity, you should understand it this way, this is the instruction and teaching of generosity. "If you do not abandon the fruit you have obtained, then you are not sincerely happy with the act of generosity." It means that compassion says this to generosity: If I give away the object of generosity, but you, generosity, have obtained great fruit benefits, but I have not abandoned it, have not given it away, then compassion does not like the act of generosity, O generosity, you should understand it this way. "Even for a moment without generosity, one is not sincerely happy with the act of generosity." It means that it is not like that, the compassionate me gives away the object of generosity, but does not abandon its fruit, I do not like that kind of generosity either. I do not give, I do not do generosity, I do not like to stay even for a moment, I do not want to stay. Therefore, if the obtained fruits are also given away, then compassion is very happy with the act of generosity, you should understand it this way.

It shows that you should expect a return. If you don't do it, it won't turn into a result. In that way, you will expect a return, and I am not like you. It says. In another way, compassion teaches giving like this: Giving, you, what is done for giving will not turn into a result and will not ripen the result, so you are not expecting a return. Compassion is whether you give or don't give, whether the result ripens or doesn't ripen, it benefits and brings happiness to all sentient beings, and it accomplishes the benefit of all sentient beings, so I am not like you because I don't expect a return, that's what it means. Because you do something, the result ripens from it. Therefore, you expect a return, and I am not like you. It says. Also, giving, you, the giving you do will ripen and accomplish the result, so you expect a return. I also accomplish the result for what is not given, because I give benefit to both what is done and what is not done, so I don't expect a return, therefore I am not like you, that's what it means. There are two verses on loving-kindness giving, it says. Whatever you give will bring benefit in this life and future lives, and the giving that will not bring harm is called loving-kindness giving. Because you have done such giving, you compose two verses, that's what it means. The giving of love by the bodhisattvas is a place without fault and pure. It says and so on. The loving-kindness giving of the bodhisattvas that brings benefit in this life and future lives is of six kinds, namely giving without fault, giving in a pure place, giving that brings benefit, giving that protects afterwards, giving without seeking, and giving without attachment. Among them, giving without fault is giving without harming others, it says. Taking away and harming others and then giving to others, and killing sentient beings and giving the meat to others, and saying bad words such as poverty or hunger to beggars, thereby creating suffering and giving, is called having fault.
