There is also nothing beyond the world, meaning it is entirely worldly. Why is that? Because one has not realized the selflessness of persons and phenomena, and therefore has not attained the mind of equality between self and others. The suffering of compassion of the wise is, without fault, beyond the world. This means that the suffering for sentient beings that arises from the cause of compassion of bodhisattvas is both without fault and beyond the world. Those who abide in worldly compassion, although without fault, are worldly. This means that the compassion of bodhisattvas who abide in the stage of aspiring conduct causes suffering to sentient beings, and the compassion of worldly sages and others causes suffering to sentient beings, but it does not abide in suffering. Although there is no fault, it is considered worldly because the mind of equality between self and others has not been attained. How is it without fault? This means that the suffering for sentient beings that arises from the cause of compassion of bodhisattvas is said to be without fault. How is it without fault? Therefore it is said, "The great river of suffering and the world dwelling in the darkness of ignorance, those who skillfully arrange the means of taming, how can they not be without fault?" Having said this, abiding in the great river of the three and eight sufferings, and abiding in the darkness of not knowing the four noble truths as they are, is with fault. Like this, the great means of taming and guiding those who abide in the river of suffering of the world and those who abide in the darkness of ignorance, the suffering that arises from the compassion of the wise bodhisattvas, how can it not be without fault? Believe that it is without fault. How is it beyond the world? This means that the suffering of the bodhisattva is said to be beyond the world, the suffering that arises from the compassion of the bodhisattva, how is it beyond the world? Therefore, for one's own enlightenment, attaining Buddhahood and, the worldly Arhats and others

None. What else needs to be said? How is it not transcendent of the world? These things were said. Like this, the suffering that arises from the Bodhisattva's cause of great compassion, in the world, the most supreme and the most important, such as solitary Buddhas and noble Arhats, the Bodhisattva's suffering for all sentient beings arising from compassion, if there were no such suffering, then how could ordinary people in the world have such suffering now, it is not there, that is its meaning. Thus, if even the noble ones do not have the Bodhisattva's view of suffering for sentient beings, how could worldly people have it? How is the Bodhisattva's view of suffering not transcendent of the world? It is transcendent of the world, please believe. It is said that because one has attained Buddhahood through self-enlightenment, because without a Khenpo and Acharya, one has manifested Nirvana through one's own wisdom, therefore it is said that one has attained Buddhahood through self-enlightenment. It is said to be a verse on the cause of fear and joy, Bodhisattvas, with great compassion, for the benefit of sentient beings, give away their heads, hands, feet, etc., and some are afraid of the suffering, while some Bodhisattvas consider the suffering to be happiness and rejoice, to show this, a verse is composed, that is its meaning. Bodhisattvas have no suffering, it turns into the suffering of loving-kindness, and that is very frightening at first. Bodhisattvas, with great compassion, enter [samsara] to eliminate the suffering of sentient beings, seeing many sentient beings suffering, due to compassion, they themselves also feel the suffering, and at first, in the stage of adhimukti-carya-bhumi, they think that they cannot be liberated from such suffering, and thus fear arises. Why is that? Because they have not obtained the mind of equality between self and others, and have not fully understood the emptiness of all suffering. Having touched, they rejoice greatly. Touching refers to touching the first bhumi, the Extremely Joyful. Having attained the first bhumi, the Extremely Joyful, when one realizes the nature of the Dharmadhatu pervading everywhere, one obtains the mind of equality between self and others, and all suffering
