The meaning of earth. Bodhisattva's anger and harm, etc., with one verse showing the faults and shortcomings of the four immeasurables, that is, the anger of harming sentient beings with killing and beating, etc., is the opposite of loving-kindness. The act of killing and beating, etc., from the body is the opposite of compassion. Displeasure, seeing sentient beings with happiness, then envying sentient beings, displeased and unhappy, is the opposite of joy. Anger and desire, seeing the feeling of suffering and enemies, etc., then generating anger, seeing the feeling of happiness and friends, etc., then generating desire, is the opposite of equanimity. Having then experiences many faults, that is, having the opposite of the four immeasurables, then the body and mind will produce various kinds of suffering, this is the meaning. How to experience many faults? That is, having the four kinds of opposites of the four immeasurables, then experiencing many faults, then what faults are experienced? This is the meaning. Afflictions destroy oneself, that is, the afflictions of anger and harm, etc., the opposites of the immeasurable, if one does killing and not giving, etc., then it is destroying oneself, how to destroy? Because of this reason, in this life, there will also be harm such as being killed and imprisoned, etc., and in the next life, there will also be harm such as falling into the sentient beings' realm, etc. Destroying sentient beings, that is, like this, doing harm such as destroying the precepts, etc., so it is called destroying sentient beings, etc., so it is called destroying sentient beings. Destroying the precepts, that is, like this, killing and not giving, the precepts that have been properly received will also be lost because of this, so it is called destroying the precepts. Having regret, that is, like this, the person who has lost the precepts will think like this, like this, I was once the path praised by the saints.

Losing birth in the heavens, each sinful person relies on the path of evil destinies, entering the path of evil destinies, thinking I am destroyed, grief arises in the heart, therefore it is called accompanied by regret. As for losing what is gained, when discipline is lost, the Dharma robes and alms bowls, etc., that were previously offered by the patrons, from then on, this person is an evildoer and not a place for offerings, so they will not offer anything, therefore it is called losing what is gained. As for losing protection, when one previously possessed discipline, the gods and others would protect them, but from then on they will not protect them, therefore it is called losing protection. As for thus speaking, the teacher, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, also abandons that person, saying that this person, having lost discipline, is like a dead corpse, and rebukes them in various ways. As for having a basis for dispute, those who have lost discipline, those who are equal to Brahma, dispute according to Dharma, because they perform actions such as cutting off with punishment and expulsion. As for being without fame, the person who has lost discipline is said by so-and-so to have lost their training and to be doing evil deeds, and a bad reputation spreads in all directions, therefore it is called being without fame. Moreover, in another place, one is born in an unfree state. The meaning is that not only will one experience various sufferings in this life, but in future lives one will also be born in places such as hell. As for abandoning what has been attained and what has not been attained, the meaning is that when discipline is lost, the four immeasurables also disappear in this life, therefore it is a loss from what has been attained, and the four immeasurables that one should have attained in future lives will also not be attained, therefore it is a loss from what has not been attained. As for obtaining great suffering from the mind, the meaning is that, moreover, if one loses their training, they will also be tormented by great suffering in their mind. For example, one thinks, I have broken my training and destroyed my discipline, I have done what should not be done, and great grief arises in my heart. Among them, the first three words are harmful to oneself, and to others
