No arising, no ceasing. The wise comprehend it clearly. Its essence is empty, peaceful, non-dual, and inexhaustible. Through lineage, liberation and equality are attained, transcending suffering. Without beginning or end, it is beyond words. Liberated in the three times, it is like the sky, equal and alike. The realm of the Sugatas is peaceful and utterly tranquil. All paths of speech are difficult to perfect. Such are those grounds and practices. If speaking is difficult, how can one know? This is the mind's path abandoned by thought. Wisdom manifest, the realm of the Victorious Ones. Not expressed by aggregates, sources, or elements. The mind cannot know it, nor can the intellect fathom it. Like the traces of birds in the sky. Extremely difficult to speak of, impossible to see. Likewise, the grounds of the Sugata's heirs cannot be known by the realm of mind and intellect. Yet, through love, compassion, and aspiration, taking a portion from it, practicing in a gradual manner. Not the realm of the mind, but perfected through the way of wisdom. Thus and so forth it is said. What is the attainment of the Utterly Joyful, is as previously stated. Explaining the meaning of the attainment of the ground. The attainment of the first ground is also as previously stated. Separated from the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, and able to comprehend the realm of Dharma, able to sever the two graspings, how to establish the ground, is to apply the mind. The qualities of each ground, and the Dharma to be cultivated, are all applied to the mind. To attain higher grounds, one also cultivates in this way, which is how to establish, which is to apply the mind. Or, applying the mind to the names, words, letters, etc. that explain the meaning of the grounds, is how to establish, which is to apply the mind. That establishment of the ground, knowing it to be merely conceptualization, and because one does not conceptualize it, one should know. It is merely the appearance of mind and mental factors, like the establishment. There is no such thing as a ground separate from the mind. Thus one should also think. However, merely thinking it is mind is also not the case; if one abides in not conceptualizing anything, then one will attain it, one should know thus. Furthermore, both the cultivation and attainment of the grounds are inconceivable.

In the content called "This pervades all," although it has been briefly explained above how each one is accomplished, in reality, the cultivation and accomplishment of each stage are inconceivable. Therefore, ordinary people cannot comprehend it with their minds, nor can they ascertain and describe it with words. That is its meaning. Why can't it be described with words? Therefore, like this, these two are the individual wisdom of the Bodhisattvas and the realm of the Buddhas, not the realm of others. Like this, the cultivation of the ground and the accomplishment of the ground are the realm of the individual wisdom of the Bodhisattvas who attain the ground, and the realm of the Tathagatas, but not the realm of ordinary people, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas, so it is inconceivable. The two verses called "Detailed Classification of the Signs of Entering the Ground," for example, where a water bird appears, it is inferred that there is water; where a sign of smoke appears, it is inferred that there is fire. Similarly, if what kind of signs and indications appear, it is inferred that the ground has been attained, this is called "Detailed Classification of the Signs of Entering the Ground." In reality, for the Bodhisattvas who have entered the ground, there are ten signs. Through the appearance of these ten signs, it can be known that they have entered the ground, which is explained by two verses. In the previous chapters on compassion and eloquence, signs were also mentioned, so what is the difference between mentioning signs there and mentioning signs here? The former refers to the signs of Bodhisattvas in general, whether they have entered the ground or not. Here, we are talking about the signs of Bodhisattvas who have entered the ground, that is the difference. Especially in all aspirations. The content called "Especially in all aspirations" is like this: The sign of a Bodhisattva who has entered the ground is like this: for the ground that has not been entered and not attained, in order to attain that ground, aspiration, faith, and desire arise. It is considered a sign with manifestation. The content called "It is considered a sign with manifestation" is like this: For the ground in which one has dwelt and attained, manifestation and
