, and will be born into the gods of the form realm. Such meditation is called attachment to maturation. Since Bodhisattvas do not have such attachment, they are called non-attached. The opposite of meditation is not abandoning the latent tendencies of mental wandering, which is called attachment to the opposite. Since Bodhisattvas do not have such attachment, they are called non-attached. Meditating on meditation without dedicating it to the liberation of the Hearers, etc., therefore there is no distraction of attention. And because the three, person, meditation, and practice, are not focused on, there is no distraction of discrimination. Therefore, it is called non-attachment. As for "the wisdom of Bodhisattvas is," etc., the opposite of wisdom is attachment to views that discriminate between permanence and annihilation, etc., and not striving to attend to and serve virtuous friends. Since Bodhisattvas do not have such attachment, they are called non-attached. Therefore, in the sutras, it is said: "Reciting, questioning, thinking, asking others, retaining what is heard," etc. Not engaging quickly in listening and thinking, etc., but engaging after delaying, is called attachment to delaying. Since Bodhisattvas do not have such attachment, they are called non-attached. Or thinking that it is enough to cultivate a little wisdom, or thinking that it is okay to know some Dharma and not know some Dharma, as long as it is enough. Or thinking that it is enough to cultivate wisdom in some places, and it is not necessary to cultivate it in all places. Such a thought is called attachment to being satisfied with just that much. Since Bodhisattvas do not have such attachment, they are called non-attached. If one thinks, "If I explain the self and common characteristics of the dharmas to others, others will help me." Such a thought is called attachment to expecting a return. Since Bodhisattvas do not have such attachment, they are called not having a situation that would become attachment. If one thinks, "If I cultivate wisdom, in the future I will be proficient in the five sciences." Cultivating wisdom after thinking in this way is called attachment to maturation. Since Bodhisattvas do not have such attachment, they are called non-attached. The opposite of wisdom is permanence and annihilation.

Attachment to opposing factors is called not abandoning the latent tendencies of distorted wisdom that realizes. Since such is not possessed by Bodhisattvas, it is called non-attachment. Although wisdom is cultivated, it is not dedicated to inferior vehicles such as Śrāvakas, so there is no mental wandering. Because one does not conceive of the person, wisdom, and practice as three, there is no wandering of discrimination, therefore it is called non-attachment. The twenty-three verses that distinguish qualities mean that after showing the opposing aspects of the six perfections, now the twenty-three verses show what the qualities of the six perfections are, and how many types there are if the qualities are divided. In that, each perfection has four qualities when divided, and the four are vastness, absence of contamination, great meaning, and inexhaustibility. The sons of the Buddhas do not look at their lives, but out of compassion, they completely give to those who beg. In this regard, although the verse of compassion comes from the first line, it should be connected when the second line of the verse appears, "do not expect others to repay." The sons of the Buddhas are the Bodhisattvas. If there are sentient beings begging for benefit, the Bodhisattvas will give without regard to body and life. What need is there to mention external things such as food and clothing? Giving in this way is not giving for a few days and not giving for a few days, giving for a few years and not giving for a few years, giving for a moment and not giving for a moment, but constantly giving as long as the end of samsara and the end of space exist, so it is called constant giving. In this way, both external and internal things are given, so the first line shows vastness. Not expecting others to repay, not seeking results. In this way, I give external and internal things, and sentient beings will benefit me in the future, but there is no giving for the sake of seeking, but giving out of compassion for the suffering of sentient beings, and the result of giving.
