Sungpa, which means, just as the Buddhas, the Bhagavad Ones who have passed away, have purified the Dharma of the Buddha. Likewise, the Bodhisattvas who have attained the fifth ground also think, "Our Buddhadharma will soon be purified as well." Thus, they attain such thoughts. Bodhisattvas who abide on the sixth ground are called those who have no pride in the distinction between all defilements and purity. Why? Because when abiding on that ground, they attain the ten equalities of Dharma, and therefore realize the emptiness of dependent origination. In emptiness, actions and so on are placed on the dark side due to the cause of ignorance, and the cessation of ignorance and so on are placed on the white side. However, there is no division between the two, but all are unborn and unceasing, and they understand that the nature of emptiness is of one taste. At that time, they are those who have no pride in all defilements and purity. Therefore, it is said in the sixth ground: "O sons of the Victorious Ones, because the path of the ground is completely perfected on the fifth ground, one enters the sixth ground of the Bodhisattva." There, one enters through the ten equalities of Dharma. What are the ten? They are: the equality that all dharmas are without characteristics, the equality that all dharmas are unborn, the equality that all dharmas are unproduced, the equality that all dharmas are secluded, the equality that all dharmas are primordially pure, the equality that all dharmas are without elaboration, the equality that all dharmas are without acceptance or rejection, the equality that all dharmas are like illusions, dreams, mirages, echoes, reflections of the moon in water, images, emanations, and so on, and the equality that all dharmas are neither existent nor nonexistent nor both. It is said up to the point that "with causes and conditions, actions will increase; without causes and conditions, there will be no increase." Those who are called "one instant of attainment of wisdom" are the Bodhisattvas who abide on the seventh ground, who are called those who possess wisdom attained in one instant. Why? Because the sixth

Where does one abide? One abides in the samadhi of no characteristics, becoming the cause for generating all the Buddhadharma. In order to perfect the dharmas of the path to enlightenment moment by moment, one is called a person with the wisdom of instantaneous attainment. Therefore, even in the seventh bhumi it is said: 'O sons of the Victorious Ones, thus the bodhisattva abides in this long-standing position, and the ten paramitas of the bodhisattva are thus perfected, and the four means of gathering are also perfected. The four abodes and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and the three doors of liberation, in short, all the dharmas of the limbs of enlightenment are perfected in an instant.' 'Giving and the field are also practiced purely.' Regarding this, bodhisattvas abiding in the eighth bhumi are called the individuals who abandon and purify the field, because they abide in the spontaneously accomplished, without characteristics, non-conceptual samadhi, they are called abandoners. Regarding the metaphor of abiding in spontaneous accomplishment, such as, 'O sons of the Victorious Ones, for example, a ship going to the great ocean needs to be specially propelled and traveled until it reaches the great ocean, but once it reaches the great ocean, it does not need to be specially propelled because of the welcoming of the wind wheel.' It has been said in various occasions. When abiding in the eighth bhumi, the Buddha-field is blessed and shown as if it were adorned with seven kinds of jewels, so it is called purifying the field, and this is also said in the eighth bhumi: 'All world realms are well adorned with many ornaments, and one obtains the freedom of the means of perfect manifestation of the blessing of extreme accomplishment.' Skillful in maturing sentient beings, etc.' Regarding this, the bodhisattva abiding in the ninth bhumi is called the individual who is skilled in maturing sentient beings. Why is this so? Because when the ninth bhumi is attained, due to having the wisdom of obtaining extremely pure individual correct knowledge, one can benefit sentient beings in various ways, therefore it is sentient beings.
