If, when someone comes to beg, you squint and don't give, that is shameful. Therefore, Bodhisattvas give away inner and outer possessions to all who come to beg, which shows that they possess the perfection of generosity. As for being ashamed of small faults, Bodhisattvas by nature regard transgressions as terrible, and like guarding against the arising of natural transgressions, they regard even small, dust-like transgressions as terrible. If even a small, dust-like transgression occurs, they feel ashamed and apprehensive. Therefore, Bodhisattvas guard against even small faults, because they have transcended the nature of ordinary beings, which shows that they possess the perfection of discipline. As for being ashamed of impatience, Bodhisattvas are by nature patient towards all beings in all directions and at all times. If even a single thought of impatience arises, Bodhisattvas feel ashamed. Therefore, Bodhisattvas are patient towards all beings at all times and in all places, which shows that they possess the perfection of patience. As for being ashamed of decline, Bodhisattvas are by nature abandoning laziness and continuously doing good through the power of diligence. If they are controlled by laziness and cannot continuously do good due to the decline of diligence, they feel ashamed. Therefore, they consider this to be contrary to the nature of a Bodhisattva, so they abandon laziness and continuously exert diligence. This shows that they possess the perfection of diligence. As for being ashamed of distraction, Bodhisattvas are by nature making the body solitary, dwelling in solitary places, and making the mind solitary, abandoning the discrimination and distraction towards forms and so on. If the body dwells in the midst of noise and the mind is distracted by forms and so on, they feel ashamed. Therefore, they consider this to have transcended the nature of a Bodhisattva, so Bodhisattvas abandon both the noise of the body and the distraction of the mind, which shows that they possess the perfection of meditation.

It has been declared. What is called "small view is shameful," Bodhisattvas are naturally endowed with great wisdom, and are of the nature of great view, because they view both persons and dharmas as selfless. Since this is the case, it is impossible not to have the view of seeing dharmas as selfless. If one only views persons as selfless, which is a small view, Bodhisattvas would be ashamed. Therefore, it is said, "Transcending the Dharma-nature of Bodhisattvas," Bodhisattvas view both persons and dharmas as selfless, which shows that they possess Prajnaparamita, and these words show the practice of the six paramitas. What is called "other vehicle is shameful is Bodhisattva," Bodhisattvas naturally practice the six paramitas, also for the sake of attaining the unsurpassed great Bodhi, they dedicate and make aspirations. If the practice of the six paramitas is dedicated and aspired to for the sake of attaining the Nirvana of other vehicles, namely the vehicles of Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, it is shameful. Therefore, it is said, "Transcending the Dharma-nature of Bodhisattvas," the practice of the six paramitas is dedicated to the attainment of great Bodhi, which shows the aspiration for great Bodhi. Therefore, the meaning is that one who both practices the six paramitas and aspires to great Bodhi is a Bodhisattva. What is called "no respect for beggars," if someone comes to beg, one squints and gives rudely, this can also be said to be without respect, and such Bodhisattvas are also shameful. All these verses, starting from "not attached to desire, the three karmas are pure," up to "other vehicle is shameful is Bodhisattva," connect the various aspects of meaning with each other, and explain what the characteristics of a Bodhisattva are through the practice of the six paramitas and the aspiration for great Bodhi, that is its meaning. Conclusion: In order to elaborate in detail the meaning of practicing the six paramitas and aspiring to great Bodhi in various ways, the ending of the meaning is briefly summarized.

Thus, one verse, such as "This and those and abandoning equally," is spoken. This verse also shows how Bodhisattvas benefit sentient beings through accomplishing the six perfections and making aspirations for great enlightenment. There are two types of benefiting: benefiting through the Dharma of the cause and benefiting through the Dharma of the result. Among these, benefiting in this life is done through the perfection of generosity, that is, by giving resources to those who lack resources and placing them in enjoyment. In future lives, benefiting is done through the perfection of ethics; if sentient beings are placed in ethics, then because of that, they will obtain good births such as gods and humans. The perfection of patience benefits through abiding in equanimity, that is, even if other sentient beings cause harm, one does not retaliate with harm and abides in equanimity without doing anything. Regarding "acting in diligence," diligence is the activity of sentient beings, and acting is going as a friend, that is, the perfection of diligence benefits through acting as a friend to the activities of sentient beings. Regarding "obtaining wealth," obtaining wealth refers to obtaining direct perception, that is, the perfection of meditation benefits sentient beings through obtaining direct perception by causing it to be obtained through direct perception. Regarding "showing accordingly," among the teachings of the three vehicles, whichever Dharma is shown to whomever will be tamed, that is, showing that Dharma, that is, the perfection of wisdom explains the Dharma that is suitable for sentient beings and benefits through cutting off doubt. Thus, those words have shown that benefiting is done through the Dharma of the cause by accomplishing the six perfections. Regarding "the one who engages in benefiting with great results is a Bodhisattva," thus, dedicating the accomplishment of the six perfections to unsurpassed enlightenment, one should obtain unsurpassed enlightenment, that is, benefiting sentient beings through obtaining enlightenment and manifesting enlightenment, and through turning the wheel of Dharma, and causing them to engage, this is
