That is, it shows the accomplishment of the six perfections with words and whatever. The so-called "Bodhisattva who prioritizes Dharma" means that if the six perfections that have been accomplished are dedicated and wished to become the cause of attaining the unsurpassed great Bodhi, then it is called "prioritizing Dharma." This shows the aspiration for great Bodhi. Thus, accomplishing the six perfections and aspiring for Bodhi is the meaning of the so-called "Bodhisattva." Furthermore, with other terms, to show that accomplishing the six perfections and aspiring for great Bodhi is the nature of a Bodhisattva, therefore, "using with caution" is specifically mentioned. Those who have the enjoyment of the five desires, enjoying themselves and not giving to others, are called "not cautious in enjoyment." Bodhisattvas see the enjoyment of wheel-turning kings and others as impure, so they give to others, which is called "cautious in enjoyment." This shows that they possess the perfection of generosity. Those who are called "cautious in taming," those who do not guard against the innate faults and the faults of nature, are not cautious in taming, because their body, speech, and mind are not tamed. Bodhisattvas guard both the faults of nature and the innate faults, so they are cautious in taming, because their body, speech, and mind are tamed. This shows that they possess the perfection of discipline. Those who are called "cautious in guarding," those who, when others cause harm, immediately become angry and harm others, are not cautious in guarding, because they have not guarded the minds of themselves and others. Bodhisattvas, even when others cause harm, do not become angry themselves and do not harm others in return, so they are called "cautious in guarding," because they have guarded their own minds from being turned by anger, and they have also guarded the minds of others from becoming agitated. This shows that they possess the perfection of patience. Those who are called "cautious in virtue," those who are lazy

Having fallen into carelessness and not doing good deeds, this is called being careless about virtue, because virtue does not increase in this way. Bodhisattvas abandon all laziness and constantly practice virtues such as listening and contemplating. This is called being careful about virtue, which indicates that they possess the perfection of diligence. As for being careful about virtue, those who, even having attained meditative concentration, become attached to the taste of the bliss of meditative concentration are called being careless about bliss, because they cannot attain special meditative concentration and may even lose the meditative concentration they had previously attained. Bodhisattvas, even having attained meditative concentration, do not become attached to the taste of the bliss of meditative concentration. This is called being careful about meditative concentration, which indicates that they possess the perfection of meditative concentration. As for being careful about the Dharma, those who cling to the Dharma as being permanent, careful, and so on are called being careless about the Dharma, because they wrongly cling to the nature of the Dharma. Bodhisattvas know that all phenomena are impermanent, empty, and selfless as they truly are, so they are called being careful about the Dharma, because they correctly cling to the nature of the Dharma. This indicates that they possess the perfection of wisdom, and these words explain the accomplishment of the six perfections. As for bodhisattvas who are careful about the Great Vehicle, those who dedicate the practice of the six perfections for the sake of attaining unsurpassed enlightenment are called being careful about the Great Vehicle, which indicates that they make aspirations for the attainment of great enlightenment. Therefore, those who both practice the six perfections and make aspirations for the attainment of great enlightenment are bodhisattvas. Furthermore, in order to show that practicing the six perfections in other ways and making aspirations for the attainment of great enlightenment are the characteristics of a bodhisattva, it is said, "Shame without giving," and so on. For example, for beggars, if they are begged from but not given to, they feel ashamed. Similarly, the nature of a bodhisattva is to give without being begged from. If a beggar
