In between, the thought with the mind is great. Thus, because their thoughts are great, the profound and vast Mahayana Dharma is greatly expounded. As they expound the Dharma, they combine and practice for the benefit of themselves and others through the three doors of body, speech, and mind, so the combination is great. Combined with their great combination, they accumulate great stores of merit and wisdom, so the store is great. Thus, having accumulated a great store, they ultimately attain the fruit of unsurpassed great Bodhi, and that which truly arises is great. The distinctions of the three vehicles are distinguished by these five aspects. The complete search for distinctions is called a chapter. One who is skilled in explaining the establishment of these four aspects, just as one is skilled in expounding the Dharma to sentient beings through the door of language, so too, one's own mind seeks and knows what the nature of the Dharma is. Therefore, the nature of the four Dharmas is shown by one chapter. Among them, the search for the four Dharmas is the complete search for names, the complete search for things, the complete search for imputed nature, and the complete search for imputed differences. These complete searches are to be known as being done during the stage of aspiring conduct. The search for names and things that arise suddenly in relation to each other is called: What is called a pot? Or what is called cloth? That is called a name. A thing is a Dharma that should be spoken of as being able to hold water like a pot, or being able to be worn like cloth. Thus, the thing that can hold water, such as a pot, is named pot. The name itself is not the nature of the pot, but all names are suddenly established and established in a different place like an illusion. Knowing this is called the complete search for names. How does it appear that all names are sudden? If the name is not sudden, but is the nature of the pot itself, then just as fire and heat are one nature, if there is no fire, there is no heat. Likewise, if the pot is destroyed and disappears, then the name should also disappear with it. But even if the pot is destroyed, the name does not disappear. The name exists outside, and after Devadatta dies

Even if it doesn't exist, it won't become as if even the name of Devadatta doesn't exist. Because the name already exists, the name and the object are not of the same essence. For example, regarding the thing called "vase," if one knows that not establishing it as having a round belly, a slender neck, and being suitable for holding water is also just an accidental and false establishment, then it is called thoroughly searching for the object. In reality, the object of the vase is also not of the same essence as the name of the vase. How are the object and the name of the vase different in essence? If the name and the object were of the same essence, then removing the name would cause the object itself to disappear, which would be a fault. For example, when one has not renounced, the name of someone who lives at home is established, but when one has renounced, the name of someone who lives at home is removed, and the object would also disappear. If it belongs to this category, Even if the name is removed, the object still exists, so the name and the object are not the same. These two types of establishment are merely to search for it itself. Regarding the thing called "searching for it itself," like this, for the relationship between the name that speaks and the object that is spoken about, such as a vase, there are self-nature and difference establishments. Among them, self-nature establishment is: establishing the characteristic of earth being solid, establishing the characteristic of water being moist, establishing form because it has obstruction, and establishing feeling because it is the nature of experience. Like this, establishing the individual characteristics of each dharma, those also only exist on the level of establishment. If one knows that earth is not established as having the characteristic of being solid, and water is not established as having the characteristic of being moist, then it is called thoroughly searching for self-nature establishment. Like this, for those dharmas that are established as self-nature, there are also impermanence, suffering, defiled, undefiled, conditioned and unconditioned, form and formless, belonging to the desire realm and belonging to the formless realm, etc., which are called difference establishments. If one knows that those difference establishments are also just on the level of names and words, and do not have self-nature, then it is called thoroughly searching for difference establishment. Among them, thoroughly searching for the name on the object as being accidental refers to
