There are seven aspects to this. The suchness of arising is that which has no beginning or end of all conditioned things. The suchness of characteristics is that which is the selflessness of persons in all dharmas and the selflessness of dharmas. The suchness of complete knowledge is that in which conditioned things are only complete knowledge. The suchness of abiding is that which I have explained as the truth of suffering. The suchness of reversing diligence is that which I have explained as the truth of the origin. The suchness of complete purification is that which I have explained as the truth of cessation. The suchness of true diligence is that which I have shown as the truth of the path. Maitreya, in this suchness of arising, and in the suchness of abiding, and in the suchness of reversing diligence, thereby all sentient beings are equal and the same. Maitreya, in this suchness of characteristics, and in the suchness of complete knowledge, thereby all dharmas are equal and the same. Maitreya, in this suchness of complete purification, thereby, the enlightenment of the hearers and the enlightenment of the solitary buddhas and the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, all enlightenments are equal and the same. Maitreya, in this suchness of true diligence, thereby, the wisdom that is completely grasped by calm abiding and special insight, which focuses on the combination of hearing, thinking, and meditating, is equal and the same, thus it is said. The reason of action is called the correct view with fruit. The fruit is called liberation, nirvana. In the path of seeing, the hearers and solitary buddhas arise with the correct view of seeing the selflessness of persons, and the bodhisattvas in the path of seeing arise with the correct view of knowing the selflessness of persons and dharmas, thereby obtaining the fruit of liberation, which is called the reason of action. The reason of dharmata is the inconceivable place, dharmata is established, therefore it is inconceivable. The inconceivable place such as the wisdom of the dharmadhatu without discrimination is called the reason of dharmata. Why is it called the reason of dharmata? Because the dharmadhatu and so on are in accordance with the manner of dharmata

Right view arises from application of mind. From right view, the fruit of nirvana is obtained. Because that is how it is accomplished by the nature of things. Therefore, why does right view arise from proper application of mind through the means of direct perception and inference? From right view, why is it contemplated that the state of the Tathagata-garbha and other inconceivable states are attained? Because it is immeasurable, the state of inconceivability is called the reason of the nature of things. Thinking, speaking, action, accumulation, and true arising, the lowest is called the Hearer Vehicle. Therefore, the Hearers think of doing only those things, so their intention is small. Because their intention is small, the Tathagatas also teach small dharmas in accordance with their minds. Because small dharmas are taught, they also apply and practice the actions to be done through the doors of body, speech, and mind in accordance with the small dharmas. Just as the action is small, so too the accumulation of merit and wisdom is small, and the manifested result is also small. The intermediate is the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle. The Pratyekabuddha Vehicle practitioners have an intermediate intention. Therefore, the Tathagatas teach them an intermediate dharma, which is the arising of dependent origination in accordance with and against the proper way. The small dharma taught to the Hearers is because only the nature is taught. Thus, because the intermediate dharma is taught, they also apply and practice the actions to be done through the doors of body, speech, and mind in accordance with the intermediate dharma, and only engage in intermediate actions. Because intermediate actions are not done, the accumulation of merit is also intermediate. Because intermediate merit is accumulated, the fruit that truly arises is also intermediate. There is no difference between Hearers and Pratyekabuddhas in the fruit of nirvana, but there is a difference in the five superknowledges. The divine eye of the Hearers cannot see beyond two thousand worlds, but the divine eye and ear of the Pratyekabuddhas can hear forms and sounds, etc., of the three thousand great thousand world realms, so there is a difference in the fruit. The supreme is the Great Vehicle, the Bodhisattvas act for the benefit of both themselves and others.
