And surpassing all efforts, one attains the spontaneously accomplished non-conceptual wisdom. At that time, all the Tathagatas of the ten directions bestow predictions of unsurpassed enlightenment, which is also something that bodhisattvas should find amazing, that is its meaning. This is the attainment of two fruits of learning. The term "empowerment" refers to surpassing the ninth bhumi and attaining the tenth bhumi, and all the Tathagatas of the ten directions empower one as the regent of the king of Dharma, which is also something that bodhisattvas should find amazing, that is its meaning. This is the attainment of three fruits of learning. The term "also attaining enlightenment" refers to attaining manifest enlightenment in the state of a Buddha, which also shows that bodhicitta, compassion, and meditation are supreme, and that one attains the supreme fruit. So, which of these is more amazing? Because such dharmas as mentioned above are impossible to exist in ordinary people, shravakas, pratyekabuddhas, etc., therefore it is amazing. The term "verses distinguishing what is not so amazing" refers to the fact that such dharmas as mentioned above are indeed amazing when compared to the world and shravakas, etc., but for those who are like bodhisattvas with great minds, in order to show that it is not amazing, a verse is composed, that is its meaning. The term "freedom from desire and compassion, meditation is supreme, likewise the mind is equal, to engage in that is not amazing" refers to those who have attained a mind free from desire, possess great compassion, meditate on supreme meditation, and have attained a mind that is equal to oneself and others, to engage in such perfections as mentioned above, and until the attainment of supreme enlightenment, this is not an amazing thing, that is its meaning. For them, even the enjoyment of a chakravartin, etc., is perceived as something impure, and for those who are free from desire and have no attachment to enjoyment, to completely give away external and internal things is not a very amazing thing.

It is not surprising that those who possess the great compassion of a Bodhisattva, thinking to eliminate the suffering of all beings, uphold the precepts of not killing living beings, not taking what is not given, and so on. Furthermore, those who possess special compassion cherish sentient beings even more than their own body and life. In order to eliminate the suffering of sentient beings, they themselves endure various kinds of suffering. They do not harm other sentient beings, and they are able to endure. This is not surprising. Like this, those who are able to continuously cultivate virtue year after year, day after day, moment after moment, those who possess the mind to cultivate the Mahayana Dharma of Shamatha and Vipassana, those who exert effort without regard for body and life, those who possess Samadhi that is not attached to the taste of meditative absorption, those who possess the wisdom that does not conceptualize anything, and those who possess such excellent meditation, are born into the lineage of the Tathagatas on the first Bhumi. On the eighth Bhumi, they transcend all effort and striving, and in order to attain effortless, non-conceptual accomplishment, they receive the prophecy of the Tathagatas. On the tenth Bhumi, they receive empowerment, and it is not surprising that they attain complete enlightenment on the Buddha Bhumi. This is its meaning. Furthermore, I am the same as sentient beings, and sentient beings are the same as me. Those who have attained the mind of equality between self and others, just as they practice the six perfections for their own benefit, they also practice the six perfections for the benefit of all sentient beings. This is not very surprising. This is its meaning. Relying on excellent meditation, there is no deliberate action on the eighth Bhumi, and applying non-conceptual diligence and so on to practice is not surprising. Excellent meditation refers to continuously cultivating virtue moment after moment, practicing Mahayana Shamatha and Vipassana. Relying on attaining such meditation, one does not even spare body and life.

Moreover, diligently writing, not being attached to the taste of meditation, possessing non-discriminating wisdom, and after obtaining the eighth ground, not manifesting fabrication, obtaining effortless and unlabored diligence, meditation, and wisdom, therefore obtaining prophecy, obtaining the empowerment of the ten grounds, and obtaining manifest enlightenment in the state of Buddhahood is not something to be amazed at, that is its meaning. There are three verses on equanimity, as previously stated, there are great wonders and not so great wonders, and that Bodhisattva develops equanimity towards all sentient beings, how equanimity arises is shown by three verses. The meaning summarized by the three verses is equanimity towards sentient beings, and equanimity in practicing the six perfections for the benefit of sentient beings. Just as the wise have immense love for sentient beings, it is not the same for oneself, one's wife, brothers, relatives, etc. This means that just as wise Bodhisattvas generate love, compassion, pity, and cherishing towards all sentient beings, similarly, sentient beings towards themselves do not generate such strong love for themselves, nor do they generate such strong love for their family and wives, nor do they generate such strong love for their parents and children, nor do they generate such strong love for their friends, nor do they generate such strong love for their relatives. Why is that? Because some sentient beings develop hatred towards themselves, and then eat poison, jump off cliffs, etc., themselves
