Because the mind is momentary. The phenomena that arise from it, such as the color of the face and the body, which become the fruit, should also be understood as momentary. In order to show that it is impossible for light to become non-light in an object that is indestructible and unchanging. For what is not light, it is also said that it is impossible for it to be indestructible at first and to change in the end. From the beginning, abiding in the nature of light, later changing into the nature of non-light, for an object that is indestructible and constant from the beginning, it is impossible to change like the previous light finally becoming non-light. Therefore, after the object that previously abided in light ceases, the nature of non-light arises later, so it should be understood that all phenomena are momentary. For going to be born in another place, there is also no going. For going to be born in another place, it should be understood as momentary by the reason of no going. In this way, phenomena move from one place to another in a momentary way, except that there is no going from one place to another. Therefore, it should be understood that all formations are momentary. In order to show that meaning, it is said that there is no nature of formations moving to other places, called the author of going. The previous moment of formations ceases, and the next moment moves to other places in the form of arising, that's all. Apart from that, there is no other thing that makes the formations move from one place to another, called the author of going. In order to show by reason that there is no author of going other than the momentary formations. It is also said that whether that going is born or unborn, or acting in another place. If that going makes the formations move to other places, from the nature of the existence of the formations, is it after the dharma called going arises that the formations are moved from one place to another? Or, does the unborn going make the formations move from one place to another? Neither of these is reasonable.

Therefore, to show that the first case is unreasonable. If it is said to be born, then because at the time of walking, it has not gone anywhere and remains in place, so walking is unreasonable, it is said. If it is said that a walker (སྐྱེས་པ་, the born one) causes the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) to remain in another place, this is also because the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) itself has the nature of remaining. Because the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) does not have the nature of moving. Therefore, when the walker (སྐྱེས་པ་, the born one) walks, the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) has not gone anywhere and remains in place. Therefore, it is unreasonable for the walker (འགྲོ་བར་བྱེད་པས་, the agent of walking) to move the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) to another place and cause it to walk. If the acts (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrications) do not have the nature of remaining, but rather have the nature of going to another place, then the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) itself has already gone to another place, and apart from it, it is impossible for there to be another walker (འགྲོ་བར་བྱེད་པའི་རྫས་, substance of walking). To show that the second case is unreasonable. If it is said to be unborn, then it is unreasonable to say that it has gone without walking, it is said. Like this, because the walker (འགྲོ་བ་, the goer) has not yet been born, it is also unreasonable to say that the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) has moved to another place. Because the non-walker (འགྲོ་བ་མེད་པ་, the non-goer) cannot cause the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) to move to another place. Apart from the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication), there is no other walker (འགྲོ་བར་བྱེད་པ་, agent of walking), which can also be analyzed with other reasons. Like this, if the walker (འགྲོ་བར་བྱེད་པ་, agent of walking) causes the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) to move to another place, then does the walker (འགྲོ་བར་བྱེད་པ་, agent of walking) himself remain in place and cause the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) to move to another place? Or does the walker (འགྲོ་བར་བྱེད་པ་, agent of walking) remain in another place and cause the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) to remain in place and move to another place? Either way is unreasonable. To show that the first case is unreasonable. If the agent (བྱེད་པ་, doer) remains in that place and performs the activity of the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication), then it is impossible to go to another place while remaining in place, it is said. The agent of walking (འགྲོ་བར་བྱེད་པ་, agent of walking) remains in place, like this, it is impossible to cause the acts (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrications) to go to another place. If oneself remains in place and does not go to another place, then it is impossible for the act (འདུ་བྱེད་, fabrication) to go to another place. For example, a horse does not carry a person, but can cause a person to go to another place, if the horse itself remains in place and does not go to another place, then it is impossible to say that the person riding on that horse has gone to another place and been carried away. The second case is unreasonable.
