Because there is no self, and because of the emptiness of inherent existence, there is no destruction whatsoever in it. This is said to be the meaning of impermanence. This shows the meaning of the sutra, "All conditioned phenomena are impermanent." As for the meaning of "discrimination," the meaning of whatever is the characteristic of other-powered nature, which is the mind and mental factors that thoroughly conceptualize the apprehended and the apprehender, is the meaning of suffering. Because to the extent that one thoroughly conceptualizes the apprehended and the apprehender through other-power, to that extent one will experience suffering in samsara. Therefore, the meaning of the other-powered, inverted conceptualization is the meaning of suffering. Therefore, in the Noble Inexhaustible Intelligence Sutra, it is also said: "What is the meaning of suffering? The meaning of no joy is the meaning of suffering. The exhaustion of joy is the meaning of suffering. The meaning of no aspiration is the meaning of suffering. The extreme declaration of the sound of suffering is the meaning of suffering," and so forth. This shows the meaning of the sutra, "All conditioned phenomena are suffering." As for "The meaning of complete realization is thus," thus means "it definitely exists." On the imputedly existent person and the imputedly existent phenomena, there is no self or inherent existence. Like that, the meaning that the other-powered, which thoroughly conceptualizes, is not non-existent is the meaning of selflessness. In reality, the meaning that there is no inherent existence on the imputedly existent person and phenomena is the meaning of selflessness. Therefore, in the Noble Inexhaustible Intelligence Sutra, it is also said: "What is the meaning of selflessness? Self is utterly selfless. Whatever is the meaning of selflessness is hollow. Empty. Without substance. Empty. The meaning of emptiness is the meaning of selflessness. This is called the meaning of selflessness." This shows the meaning of the sutra, "All phenomena are selfless." As for the meaning of "the pacification of discrimination," it means that discrimination, the mind and mental factors, the characteristic of other-powered nature, is separated from the conceptualization of the imputedly existent person and the imputedly existent phenomena, and having abandoned the stains of the apprehended and the apprehender, the meaning of the characteristic of the completely established is the meaning of peace, nirvana.

It is also like that. Therefore, in the Sutra of the Noble Inexhaustible Intellect, it is also said: What is the meaning of the fourth among them? It is not that peace becomes peace through peace, but peace itself is peace. Even the unpeaceful does not become peaceful through peace, but the meaning of peace is the complete pacification of all characteristics. This is called peace. This shows the meaning of the sutra that "peace is nirvana." These four are the teachings, which means that the meaning of the four Dharma Sutras of the Bodhisattvas is as described above. The meaning of non-existence for Bodhisattvas is the meaning of impermanence, which means that there are two aspects to the meaning of impermanence: the meaning of arising and ceasing, and the meaning of non-existence. Among them, the meaning of impermanence for Bodhisattvas is not like that of the Shravakas, etc., where the meaning of arising and ceasing is not the meaning of impermanence, but rather the meaning of non-existence is considered the meaning of impermanence. Whatever is constantly non-existent is impermanent, which means that whatever is constantly non-existent is called impermanent. What is constantly non-existent? It is the person who is completely imputed and the dharmas that are completely imputed. All the characteristics of complete imputation are constantly non-existent like a rabbit's horn. The constant non-existence of complete imputation itself is impermanence. The meaning of clinging to what is not true is the meaning of suffering, which means that the meaning of the mind and mental factors that cling to the person who is completely imputed and the dharmas that are completely imputed as existing is called the meaning of suffering. In reality, suffering refers to the nature of dependence. In short, this is what is meant to be expressed: the mind and mental factors that are associated with distorted views, distortedly cling to non-existent persons and dharmas as existing. To the extent that there is distorted clinging to existence, to that extent suffering such as birth and old age arises, and it is the nature of defilement, so it is called suffering. Alternatively, the mind and mental factors associated with distorted views that are accompanied by defilements are subject to arising and ceasing. The meaning of whatever arises and ceases is the meaning of impermanence. Whatever is impermanent is suffering.
