Declaring with the earth as witness is the nature of aspiration. It is encouraged by wisdom. Here, wisdom refers to the non-discriminating wisdom. The aspirations of Bodhisattvas arise from the cause of non-discriminating wisdom, hence it is said to be encouraged by wisdom. Or, aspiring to attain that wisdom is called being encouraged by wisdom, which shows the cause. The aspirations of the steadfast are unparalleled in all lands. Here, the steadfast Bodhisattvas make aspirations in all ten Bhumis. Although worldly people aspire to attain the fruits of gods and humans, and Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also aspire to attain their fruits, all these aspirations cannot compare with those of Bodhisattvas, hence they are called unparalleled, which shows the Bhumi. It should also be known as the cause. The aspirations of Bodhisattvas should be known as the cause for accomplishing all benefits. Accomplishing all benefits has two aspects: accomplishing the benefits of oneself and others in this life, and accomplishing the benefits of oneself and others in future lives. From the mind, the result arises immediately. Here, "that" refers to being connected with aspiration, meaning that aspiration of the Bodhisattva. From the mind means merely from the mind, or merely from making the aspiration. Immediately refers to this life. In reality, even without acting through body and speech, merely making the aspiration in this life can accomplish the benefits of oneself and others. To accomplish future benefits, it can be accomplished merely from the mind. Here, the future refers to the next life. Even without acting through body and speech, merely thinking in the mind or making the aspiration can accomplish all the benefits of oneself and others in the next life. Various means that the aspirations of Bodhisattvas who practice with faith and aspiration are various, because at that time, the Dharmadhatu...

Because the nature of constant change is not understood, the wishes to become this or that are also diverse, because the ways of wishing are inconsistent. The so-called "great" refers to the aspirations of the bodhisattvas of the first ground as great, because they are to realize the ten great vows. The so-called "pure, higher, and higher" refers to the aspirations of the bodhisattvas from the second ground up to the attainment of Buddhahood as pure. If asked why, it is because, relative to the lower grounds, the aspirations of the higher grounds are more excellent and outstanding. This shows the difference in aspirations. The so-called "thoroughly accomplishing the benefit of oneself and others" means that the aspiration of a bodhisattva can accomplish both one's own benefit and the benefit of others, and this is the activity. It is said in the sutras that by the power of aspiration, the bodhisattvas who possess the power of merit, due to accumulating the accumulation of merit, the bodhisattvas who possess the power of merit, by the power of the vows they have made, the bodhisattvas have countless bodies, countless rays of light, and countless magical powers, accomplishing the benefit of oneself and others, which is difficult to express in words. Therefore, it is obvious that aspirations can accomplish the benefit of oneself and others. Classifying the three samadhis, there are three verses, what does this refer to? If asked, what is the connection between explaining the three samadhis after the aspiration? This is because, like this, the bodhisattvas who possess dharani and aspiration, in order to abandon all obscurations, must practice the three samadhis. If they practice these three samadhis, they can abandon all unreal self and other benefits. Therefore, there is a connection in explaining the classification of the three samadhis after the aspiration. Or, the bodhisattvas who possess aspirations, whether it is body karma, speech karma, or mind karma, whatever they want to accomplish, they can accomplish as they wish. And among the three karmas, mind karma, that is, practicing samadhi, is the most important. Therefore, after the aspiration
