It is because there is diligence and effort on the pure ground. The so-called pure ground refers to the eighth, ninth, and tenth grounds. The Dharani arising from the Samadhi abiding in the pure ground enables diligence and effort to be effortless and spontaneously accomplished. Therefore, this shows the various distinctions of Dharani. For Dharanis, it is a supreme place, repeatedly moving towards Bodhi, also proclaiming the supreme Dharma, and constantly and completely retaining it. What is said here is that Bodhisattvas abide in and rely on the three types of Dharani mentioned earlier: the Dharani arising from Vipaka, the Dharani arising from hearing and habituation, and the Dharani of Samadhi. In order to constantly benefit sentient beings, they also proclaim the words and meanings of the supreme Dharma, and in order to benefit themselves, they also retain the meanings and words spoken by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. This is the function of Dharani. The so-called "again and again" means constant and uninterrupted. The so-called "through hearing and habituation, in this life one can retain much hearing," etc., refers to listening many times in this life from many virtuous friends, thereby having the ability to retain the meanings and words spoken by the Buddhas, etc., without forgetting them. This is the so-called Dharani arising from hearing and habituation. As for the statement, "three verses distinguishing aspiration prayers," if someone asks, what is the connection between explaining the chapter on aspiration prayers after Dharani? The answer is: Bodhisattvas who have obtained Dharani in this way make aspirations for the benefit of themselves and others, and whatever aspirations they make, all of them will be fulfilled accordingly. Therefore, there is a connection between explaining the chapter on aspiration prayers after Dharani. The so-called "mind endowed with desire," etc., shows the nature, cause, place, classification, and function of aspiration prayers. Among them, desire refers to the arising of desire for the object to be desired. Here, it also refers to thinking about how to obtain the fruit of unsurpassed Bodhi. This kind of thinking and desire is called desire. Mind refers to the characteristic of the mind being shaking and moving, that is, after generating Bodhicitta, the mind thinks about how to obtain the fruit of unsurpassed Bodhi.
