That is the meaning of "becoming like that." "Having the ability to fully ripen others" indicates that it has become the basis for fully ripening others. The Bodhisattva becomes the basis of the nine dharmas, so he is able to fully ripen sentient beings, has the power to fully ripen sentient beings, and also becomes the place to fully ripen sentient beings, that is its meaning. "The object of constantly increasing virtue" indicates the constant increase of the Dharmakaya. The Bodhisattva becomes the basis of the nine dharmas, so not only is he able to fully ripen sentient beings, but at all times, the six perfections of dharma will increase, becoming the basis and support for generating virtue in one's own continuum, that is its meaning. "Always become the supreme friend of beings" means that the Bodhisattva has nine kinds of dharma, also has the power to fully ripen sentient beings, and constantly increases virtuous dharma, therefore, he benefits sentient beings by giving them material help in this life and placing them in virtuous dharma; in other lifetimes, he places them in happy realms and nirvana, thus making them happy, therefore he is called the supreme friend of beings. He benefits sentient beings more than parents and Hedu relatives, therefore he becomes the supreme friend. Why? Because parents can only give small material help in this life, but cannot place them in heaven and nirvana in other lifetimes. "Starting from the classification of fully ripening sentient beings, there are eleven verses" means that in the seven categories of what should be learned mentioned above, up to this point, five categories have been explained starting from one's own full ripening. Now starting from fully ripening sentient beings, eleven verses show how the Bodhisattva fully ripens sentient beings, that is its meaning. Then, after one's own full ripening, showing the full ripening of sentient beings, what is the connection? If one's own self is not ripe, one's own self is not liberated, one's own self has not attained liberation, then how can one liberate and attain liberation for sentient beings?

Therefore, after one's own complete maturation, it is relevant to explain the complete maturation of sentient beings. The meaning summarized by eleven verses is fourfold: the nature of complete maturation, detailed classification, intention, and action. The verse "Just as sores and food, scratching and purifying, desire to mature," etc., shows the nature of complete maturation. This is like boils and eye diseases, etc., when the time comes to be cut open, and the pus flows out, that is the time of complete maturation. Also, when food, etc., can be eaten, when it becomes edible, it is called complete maturation. This is a metaphor. In order to show the meaning, similarly in the place, the two opposing sides are pacified, similarly eating and saying maturation, and the action is mentioned. The word "place" refers to the five aggregates. The two opposing sides refer to the side of afflictions such as desire, and the side of antidotes such as faith. For example, just as when pus flows out inside a sore it is called maturation, when one's own aggregates are able to pacify and abandon afflictions such as desire, and obtain such a body; also, just as when food becomes edible it is called maturation, when one's own body is able to continuously eat and practice the side of virtue, then that person is called to have made it completely mature. The second verse shows the detailed classification of complete maturation, meaning that Bodhisattvas make sentient beings completely mature through eight ways. The so-called "making mature by separation" is to make sentient beings separate from desire, separate from hatred, and thus separate from all afflictions, this is called making mature by separation. The so-called "declaring complete maturation" is to make all sentient beings of the three vehicles mature through the means of the three vehicles, this is called making complete maturation. Similarly, the so-called "making thorough maturation," although friends such as heretics also make sentient beings mature in the form and formless realms through the way of teaching the Dharma, but because they will regress, therefore they cannot
