The four pervasive places are: the inconceivable variety of actions of sentient beings, the inconceivable power of medicine and mantras, the inconceivable wisdom of the Tathagata, and the inconceivable realm of yogis. It shows the nature of great diligence, the perfection of the holy, and the complete maturation of joy by both. The supreme Dharma is also called "to gather." The supreme Dharma is the Dharma of the Great Vehicle. "To gather" means to protect the Dharma of the Great Vehicle so that it may abide long in the world and not perish. How does one protect it? As long as there are those who expound the Dharma of the Great Vehicle and those who listen to it, the Dharma of the Great Vehicle will not perish. Therefore, one should expound the Dharma of the Great Vehicle, protect those who harm and injure those who listen to the Dharma, and provide them with various necessities. This shows the action of complete maturation. Because the holy Dharma is greatly spoken, one is compassionate and desires the characteristic of true and complete maturation. This means that the bodhisattvas who possess compassion engage in the complete maturation of joy in order to uphold the Dharma of the Great Vehicle and make it abide long in the world. Those things mentioned above are the characteristics of the complete maturation of joy. The characteristic of the complete maturation of the bodhisattva's aspiration should be understood as being under the power of upholding the Dharma of the Great Vehicle. The bodhisattva's complete maturation of joy also matures for the sake of the Dharma of the Great Vehicle abiding long in the world. This is a summary statement. From the beginning of the complete maturation of faith, a verse is composed to show that however much of faith arises in the mind, it is called the complete maturation of faith. Therefore, a verse is composed. Its meaning is: also accumulating the cause of faith, the nature of faith is also perfectly complete, and also possessing the action of faith, then the complete maturation of faith is shown. Therefore, a verse is composed. Qualities, knowing, etc., refer to knowing qualities.

It is to comprehend the qualities of all Buddhas, the Bhagavat. How does one comprehend it? Thus, comprehending the Bhagavat means comprehending the qualities of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, and so on. Having comprehended thus, faith arises, therefore this is the cause. As for "the mind also does not turn back," after comprehending in the first ground the nature of going to all realms of Dharma, from that time onwards, the mind does not turn back from the Buddha, and the mind does not turn back from the Dharma and the Sangha. This is the nature of the complete maturation of faith. As for "quickly obtaining samadhi," if faith becomes complete, then the samadhi of the Great Vehicle, as well as the samadhi of the Treasury of Space, and the samadhi of Heroic Progress, and so on, countless samadhis are quickly obtained. As for "experiencing the fruit," the fruit refers to the six superknowledges, such as the miraculous eye. If faith is complete, then the six superknowledges are also obtained. Obtaining samadhi and experiencing the fruit, these two should be known as actions. The verse says: "The princes and others are devoted to the teacher, desiring the Buddha of perfect and complete maturation." It means that Bodhisattvas, for the sake of respecting and believing in the Buddha, the Bhagavat, have the nature of complete faith, possessing the three: cause, nature, and action. As for "composing verses based on the complete maturation of extreme tranquility," tranquility is abandoning afflictions. To show that extreme tranquility matures when a certain amount of afflictions are abandoned, verses are composed. It also possesses the three: cause, nature, and action, which shows that it is the complete maturation of extreme tranquility. As for "extremely subdued," extremely subdued is being restrained by mindfulness and awareness. From the eye faculty to the mind faculty, the faculties are prevented from entering objects, which is called extremely subdued. Starting from initially taking vows, knowing the measure of food, not sleeping at night and dawn, subduing the faculties, and so on.
