Therefore, it is called reversed. Each rejoices in their own creation. The so-called "each rejoices in their own creation" refers to the noble Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas who, having abandoned the causes of suffering such as birth and aging that exist in their own continuum—karma and afflictions—and because they lack compassion, abandon the activities for the benefit of sentient beings, and rejoice in the one-sided peace of nirvāṇa. This is the meaning. Constantly born by all, peaceful, compassionate self. The so-called "constantly born by all, peaceful, compassionate self" refers to Bodhisattvas who possess both wisdom and compassion. Possessing wisdom, they pacify the afflictions that cause suffering such as birth and aging for the benefit of all sentient beings until the end of saṃsāra. Possessing compassion, they do not merely enter the realm of nirvāṇa like Śrāvakas, but remain in saṃsāra for the benefit of sentient beings. This is the meaning. This verse shows that the practice of Bodhisattvas is superior to both worldly and transmundane practices. Because they possess wisdom, they eliminate the afflictions in their own and others' continua, thus surpassing worldly practices. Because they possess compassion, they do not enter nirvāṇa, thus surpassing the transmundane practices of Śrāvakas and others. Now, to show that one verse can illustrate that the practice of Bodhisattvas is far superior to worldly practices, it is said: Foolish beings strive for their own happiness, but they never attain it, and instead it becomes a cause of suffering. The verse "Foolish beings strive for their own happiness" refers to ordinary beings. Because they are foolish, they lack wisdom and are covered by ignorance. Ordinary beings covered by ignorance strive to make themselves happy and joyful, so they work hard to plow fields, do business, build houses, and seek children. But even if they are constantly exhausted, they do not find happiness and joy. Instead, because of this, they experience suffering such as cold, heat, and hunger in this life, and in future lives they will experience the suffering of the three lower realms.

It means to transform. The steadfast one constantly strives for the benefit of others, accomplishing both benefits and ultimately entering nirvana. This is called, the steadfast one refers to the Bodhisattva, because they possess wisdom and diligence, or possess meditation and diligence, therefore they are called steadfast. Constantly is called the end of samsara. Striving for the benefit of others is called for the sake of benefiting and bringing happiness to others, practicing the six perfections oneself. The Bodhisattva who acts in this way, even if they strive for the sake of others, can accomplish both their own and others' benefit, and ultimately attain the result of non-abiding nirvana. It is called verses for completely dedicating the field of action. Bodhisattvas, through the three doors of body, speech, and mind, practice the six perfections, not only accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, but also accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings through completely dedicating the field of action. To show that the field of action is from the aspect of the body, practicing the four postures, from the eye faculty to the mind faculty, the six faculties each see their respective objects, hear, and so on, dedicating these for the benefit of sentient beings, to show this meaning, these verses are composed. How, how the prince acts, called how, how, means when and where. The prince's action, the meaning is entering villages and so on, or abiding in the four postures. The objects of the senses enter in various ways, called from the eye faculty to the mind faculty, the six faculties. Its field of action is from form to dharma, the six objects. Entering means the eye sees form, the ear hears sound, and so on, until the mind knows dharma. Thus, thus, with words of reason, called, thus, thus, means at that time and place. Reason is called speaking words that transform for the benefit of oneself and others. Words of agreement are what one sees, and the sentences of dedication for the benefit of sentient beings are connected, what, what see
