Those beings will not be eaten by demons and will act for their own benefit without being urged by others. Similarly, Bodhisattvas are always attended by the great compassionate teacher who urges them to "benefit suffering beings." This means urging them to do things for the benefit of sentient beings. When others suffer, their hearts are saddened. This means that not only are Bodhisattvas attended by the teacher's great compassion, but when they see other beings suffering, they themselves become very miserable. For those who dwell in the affairs of others, it is very shameful to be urged by others. This means that since they are attended by the teacher's great compassion and have the nature of suffering themselves when others suffer, now is the time to establish these beings on the six perfections. Those who work for the benefit of sentient beings will be urged to act by virtuous friends, and Bodhisattvas should feel even more ashamed. That is its meaning. Regarding the verses that are also fully ripe for laziness, it means that Bodhisattvas must generate the mind of enlightenment for the benefit of themselves and others and strive diligently. In order to show that one should not be lazy, they compose verses. Sentient beings carry heavy burdens on their heads, superior sentient beings do not look dignified walking slowly, bound by many bonds of self and others, one should strive diligently even a hundredfold. This means that in the world, those who carry heavy loads, if they cannot walk a long distance, if they do not speed up and walk slowly, they will not be able to reach their destination. Similarly, Bodhisattvas carry the burden of liberating all sentient beings from unsurpassed enlightenment, cherish and generate the mind of enlightenment, and must go to the realm of the Buddha. Therefore, when practicing the six perfections, one should not engage in slow diligence. Why? For example, like the noble Hearers, they only work for themselves, and they strive to cut off the bonds of karma, afflictions, and harm themselves.
