And immediately, cutting off the mind from endless sinful actions, always rejoicing in happiness and suffering, the two, virtue and compassion, always increase. In this verse, "wise" refers to a Bodhisattva, because they possess the wisdom that understands the two selflessnesses. The supreme mind refers to the ultimate Bodhicitta. After the ultimate Bodhicitta arises on the first ground, at the moment of seeing the nature of all Dharmadhatu, immediately cutting off, through the three doors of body, speech, and mind, the sinful actions such as killing and taking what is not given, etc., towards limitless sentient beings like the sky, and obtaining the vow not to do them from then on. Having obtained the vow not to commit sins in this way, the Bodhisattva has no fear of falling into the three lower realms. Bodhisattvas are happy in mind even when they experience the happiness of enjoyment of gods and humans, etc., and they are also happy in mind when they experience suffering by giving up their heads, hands, feet, etc., for the sake of sentient beings. Why? Because they constantly increase virtue and constantly increase great compassion. They are happy at the time of both happiness and suffering. Among them, because of increasing virtue, they are happy even when they enjoy the happiness of gods and humans, etc., because they abide in enjoyment. Because of increasing great compassion, they are not tired even when they experience many cold and heat, etc., in the three lower realms for the sake of sentient beings, so they are happy even in times of suffering. In the verse of "not doing what is to be cut off", "not doing" means not doing the ten non-virtuous actions. At the moment when the ultimate Bodhicitta arises, the mind that cuts off endless sinful actions, as said briefly, explains in detail with one verse how to cut it off. When one does not care about body and life, in this verse, Bodhisattvas cherish others more than themselves, considering them poor, They strive for the benefit of sentient beings, so they do not care about their own bodies, giving up their bodies, and they do not care about their lives, giving up their lives.

If there is no weariness. That is to say, moreover, in order to turn sentient beings away from non-virtue and abide in virtue, and in order to attain unsurpassed enlightenment, even when giving away heads, hands, and feet, etc., for countless eons, they will not be weary even with suffering. How could such beings, when harmed by others, ever engage in deeds of wrongdoing? That is to say, those who, for the sake of others, do not even consider their own bodies and lives, and who endure various kinds of suffering, if other sentient beings commit misdeeds such as killing towards those Bodhisattvas, how could they, in return, commit misdeeds such as killing? And how could they commit misdeeds such as killing for their own sake and for other sentient beings? They would not engage in it at all. That is its meaning. Two verses on not turning back the mind. That is to say, if one thinks that even if a Bodhisattva works for the benefit of sentient beings without regard for their own body and life, they may sometimes turn back from the mind of enlightenment, but Bodhisattvas, being firm with the accumulation of wisdom and the accumulation of merit, it is impossible to turn back from the mind of enlightenment. In order to show this, two verses are spoken. They regard all dharmas as like illusions. That is to say, Bodhisattvas, with the accumulation of wisdom, see all outer and inner dharmas as empty of inherent existence, like illusions, mirages, and dreams. Birth is like entering a pleasure garden. That is to say, just as one goes from a bad garden to a good garden, one experiences great joy, similarly, Bodhisattvas, endowed with the accumulation of merit, die and transmigrate from the realms of humans, abandon human enjoyments, and attain the state of gods, etc., just as one abandons a bad garden and obtains a good one, they experience supreme joy. In times of prosperity and, that is to say, if a Bodhisattva is born in the realm of gods, they become the lord of gods such as Indra and Brahma, and if they are born in the realm of humans, they become the lord of humans such as a universal monarch, this is called the time of prosperity. Even in times of decline
