The verses called "Na" mean that, above, with the four distinctions of universally going, etc., one has taken refuge in the Great Vehicle. Because one has taken refuge in the mundane and the supramundane, it is declared to be excellent. The meaning is to compose verses to extensively explain the meaning of universally going. For the sake of liberating all sentient beings, one abides, possessing the wisdom of having gone through all vehicles and being skilled. Revolving in Nirvana and being of one taste, the wise should recognize this as universally going. This means that by possessing the four kinds of universally going, one should recognize that universally going is excellent. The four kinds of universally going are: universally going to sentient beings, universally going to vehicles, universally going to wisdom, and universally going to Nirvana. Among them, the Hearers enter for the sake of completely entering Nirvana themselves, while the Bodhisattvas enter for the sake of liberating all sentient beings from the suffering of samsara and then leading them to Nirvana. Therefore, one should regard them as possessing universally going to sentient beings. The Hearers generate the mind of enlightenment in order to realize the Hearer's Vehicle, while the Bodhisattvas generate the mind in order to become skilled in the Hearer's, Solitary Realizer's, and Great Vehicles. Therefore, it is shown that they possess universally going to vehicles. The Hearers generate the mind in order to realize only the selflessness of persons, while the Bodhisattvas generate the mind in order to become skilled in both the selflessness of persons and phenomena. Therefore, it is shown that they possess universally going to wisdom. The Hearers generate the mind in order to attain the Nirvana of one-sided peace, while the Nirvana of the Bodhisattvas is universally going, that is, they go to samsara and also go to Nirvana. Among them, samsara is the nature of the five aggregates. Peace is Nirvana, the characteristic of abandoning the five aggregates. One taste is that whatever is the nature of samsara, that is also the nature of Nirvana. Whatever is the nature of Nirvana, that is also the nature of samsara. With wisdom, one does not abandon Nirvana; with compassion, one does not...

By abandoning and entering both, it is called Nirvana All-pervading Conduct. Because one does not discriminate between its merits and faults. It is said that by seeing the emptiness of samsara with wisdom, one does not discriminate the faults of samsara. Because of the joy of doing the meaning of sentient beings with compassion, one does not regard Nirvana as a merit either. To make verses for the meaning of the promised, it is called after explaining the meaning of the all-pervading conduct, to widely explain the meaning of the promised, the meaning of making verses. That promised meaning should also be known by three kinds of differences, namely the difference of aspiration, the difference of practice, and the difference of attainment. Seeking supreme enlightenment with many joys, it is said that if the Shravakas and others take refuge in the Three Jewels, then they promise that I will attain Nirvana. Those Bodhisattvas who take refuge in the Three Jewels promise that I will attain the nature of the Buddha in whom I take refuge, and generate the mind of enlightenment. This shows the difference of aspiration. Why generate the mind to attain the nature of the Buddha? Because of many joys, after hearing the power and fearlessness and other merits of the Buddhas, the Bhagavan, joy and faith arise, so I think that I should attain the Buddha with such merits. Those who practice austerities without weariness, it is said that after generating the mind, in order to attain that Buddha, by practicing the difficult deeds of giving away heads, feet, etc., up to the stage of practice with faith, below the ten bhumis, they promise without weariness, this shows the difference of practice. Gradually going equal to all Buddhas, it is said that after gradually practicing below the ten bhumis in this way, becoming a Buddha in the position of a Buddha, being equal in body with all Buddhas, equal in speech, equal in mind, and equal in retinue, is to be attained, this shows the difference of fruit. Because of attaining the three bodies, it is equal in body. Because of attaining the four wisdoms, it is equal in mind. With the voice of Brahma and the Kalaviṅka bird, individually
