It has been shown to reach the other shore. For entering without harming sentient beings, it is like a father treating his son. Just as a father treats his son, even if the father causes harm to his young and strong son through beating and whipping, he does not generate anger, but generates compassion. Similarly, when a Bodhisattva acts for the benefit of sentient beings, sentient beings are controlled by afflictions, and even if those strong ones cause various harms, the Bodhisattva does not generate harm and anger, but generates compassion. This shows the perfection of patience. To enter continuously is like a person who wants fire rubbing a drill to make fire. Just as a person who wants fire, in order to obtain fire, rubs the drill without rest until the fire is obtained. Similarly, the Bodhisattva, in order to perfect the practice of virtue, in order to continuously engage in virtue without laziness, this shows the perfection of diligence. For entering the superior mind, it is like completely controlling the mind. For those who are given power and use of wealth and storehouses, etc., in whatever way, they do not generate attachment and possession, this is called complete control of the mind. Just as that person who completely controls the mind, even though he has power over the king's storehouse and wealth, does not generate the slightest attachment and clinging. Similarly, the Bodhisattva has power over the perfection of meditation, and even if he obtains meditation, he does not generate the slightest attachment to the bliss of meditation. Or, for that person who controls the mind, all the words inside and outside will be spoken without omission, and no matter what happens, that person who controls the mind will not abandon the intermediate state. Similarly, the Bodhisattva, when engaged in the practice of meditation, will not abandon the intermediate state until the meditation reaches perfection and the fruit is obtained, and will not be afraid. This shows the perfection of meditation. For entering wisdom, it should be understood like performing magic. Just as a magician knows the rituals and methods of magic, and first conjures up magical horses and elephants.

Moreover, just as one thinks, "This is an illusion, not a real horse or elephant," so too, after accomplishing the pāramitās, a bodhisattva should know all dharmas as being like illusions, without error, through the perfection of wisdom. This is the explanation of the perfection of wisdom. "In what way and how does one practice? Know that to be the intention of a bodhisattva." Regarding this, it is a summary explanation of what was said above. Summarizing the previous content, it shows two aspects: in what one practices and enters, and how one practices and enters. Practicing in this way, know that it is the intention of a bodhisattva. So, into what does one enter? Just as a sick person goes to a doctor, a bodhisattva enters saṃsāra for the benefit of sentient beings. How does one enter? Starting from "entering greatly into sentient beings," up to "knowing as if performing magic," one enters in that manner. How refers to entering into the sick, etc. So, how should one enter? In order for the sick person to benefit from the illness, they will even drink bad-tasting medicine, and the doctor will prescribe medicine for the sick person. One should enter in a way that completely purifies the body, etc., from the body. What refers to dwelling in saṃsāra after examining it individually from saṃsāra. So, into what does one enter? For the benefit of sentient beings, one enters into the three realms, which means one must separately examine and know what the faults and shortcomings of saṃsāra are, and from knowing these, one enters without being tainted by the faults of saṃsāra. Alternatively, of the three things mentioned above—what should be learned, how should be learned, and by whom should be learned—entering into saṃsāra shows what should be learned, and from the doctor, etc., below shows how should be learned. Because one has compassion, one does not abandon sentient beings, the sick, etc. The example of the doctor shows that because one has compassion, one does not abandon sentient beings afflicted by the disease of afflictions. "Well-taming one's own mind," etc., the example of the immature servant illustrates that one's own mind is untamed and unpacified.
