Here, there will be no erroneous or inverted explanations, because one can explain the self and common characteristics of all dharmas without inversion, therefore it is called possessing excellent wisdom. Constantly, the Bodhisattva's teaching of Dharma is not sometimes teaching and sometimes not teaching, but teaching constantly, therefore it is called tireless. With a mind free from defilement, teaching the Dharma is also for the sake of removing the suffering of sentient beings, not for the sake of profit and respect, etc., therefore it is called compassionate. Pleasant speech, the Bodhisattva is known in all ten directions for possessing perfect qualities. His words are all listened to, and his words become pleasant, therefore it is called renowned. In accordance with discipline, one should teach the Dharma to the sentient beings who are suitable to be tamed, for example, teaching impurity to those with desire, etc., therefore it is called possessing skillful means. When the Dharma is taught, the teaching is completed. After the time of teaching, what is the connection between teaching at the time of practice? If I teach others the Dharma that I have found, then it is accomplishing the benefit of others. If I practice the meaning of the Dharma itself that I have found, then it is accomplishing the benefit of myself. Therefore, those who are learned should teach the Dharma they have heard to others. In order to benefit oneself, one must also practice oneself. Therefore, after the time of teaching, teaching at the time of practice is related. Furthermore, just as a person with eyes holding a lamp in his hand can see the road for both himself and others, while a blind person holding a lamp can only let others see the road, and it does not help him to see. Similarly, if one teaches others the Dharma that one has found, but does not practice it oneself, then it can only benefit others, and there is no benefit to oneself. Therefore, one should teach the Dharma that one has found in order to benefit others. In order to benefit oneself, one should practice. Therefore, after the time of teaching, teaching at the time of practice is related. The Sutra says that there are six verses on the classification of practice.

Explaining the distinctions is how one understands the meaning and practices the Dharma according to the Dharma, as well as truly practices and follows the Dharma. The meaning of these five terms is shown through six verses. Among them, understanding the meaning and understanding the Dharma are shown by the first and second verses. Practicing the Dharma according to the Dharma and truly practicing are shown by the third and fourth verses. Following the Dharma is shown by the fifth and sixth verses. In the phrase, "The wise, regarding persons and dharmas, know the two selflessnesses," the wise refers to the Bodhisattva who possesses wisdom. That Bodhisattva knows that persons also have no self-nature, and dharmas also have no self-nature. That is the meaning. How does one know this? For the person who is considered to be a person, life, or self by the imputed, one also knows that there is no nature of the object of grasping, and no nature of the grasper, therefore one knows selflessness. For the imputed dharmas, such as form and sound, one also knows that there is no nature of the object of grasping, and no nature of the grasper, therefore one knows selflessness. In the phrase, "Regarding the two, inverted and non-inverted, they are eliminated by the three," the two refers to the meaning of non-existence and the meaning of existence. Abandoning the nature of inversion, and also abandoning the nature of non-inversion, through emptiness, wishlessness, and signlessness samadhi, one knows the meaning of non-existence and the meaning of existence. That is the meaning. Among them, the two is because there is no object of grasping and no grasper, therefore one knows the selflessness of dharmas and persons. In the phrase, "The two are said to be the object of grasping, because there is no grasper," the two refers to the object of grasping and the grasper. For the imputed dharmas such as form and sound, also because there is no nature of the object of grasping and the grasper, for the self that is imputed as self and person, also because there is no nature of the object of grasping and the grasper, therefore one knows selflessness. That is the meaning. In the phrase, "By the three, inverted and non-inverted are eliminated, which are the two," by the emptiness that abandons the nature of inversion and non-inversion, and the three samadhis such as signlessness, one knows the meaning of non-existence and existence. That is the meaning. In the emptiness samadhi where both imputed natures are absent,
