English

It means saying "Po." By what is it interrupted? For the sake of abandoning all faults. This sentence means that in order to eliminate the faults that hinder anyone from attaining heaven and liberation, the supreme vehicle is taught. The two verses are taught together with praise, as it is said, the praise of the verses is taught with three verses. Therefore, it says, "Whoever enters these two verses, meaning, words, and holding." The meaning is that anyone who enters into understanding the meaning of slandering the Buddha's Dharma, etc., and enters into receiving the meaning of words and not forgetting them. Sentient beings are superior and intelligent, and obtain ten kinds of praise. This sentence means that if one enters into holding meaning and words in this way, one will obtain ten kinds of praise, that is, one will become the superior of sentient beings and have wisdom. This is one kind of praise. Having wisdom means having the wisdom to be skilled in profound and hidden meanings. All realms are greatly increased. This sentence means that the realm here refers to lineage and seed, that is, the Mahayana lineage matures and grows, which is the second praise. At the time of death, great joy arises. This sentence means that at the time of death, one will not die due to physical pain and mental confusion, but will die with physical comfort and joy. This is the third praise. As for the life of whatever one desires, this sentence means that in other lives, one will be reborn in any place such as gods and humans as one wishes. This is the fourth praise. Remembering all births, this sentence means that after being born in that life after life, one will also remember everything done in the previous life. This is the fifth praise. Being with the Buddha, this sentence means that not only that, but in that life after life, one will not encounter evil friends, but will always be accompanied and meet with the Buddha.

English

This is the sixth subsequent praise. "The supreme vehicle is heard from this," which means that even after encountering the Buddha, one hears the teachings of the Great Vehicle from the Tathagata. This is the seventh subsequent praise. "With wisdom, excellent desire arises," which means that after being separated from obscurations and becoming endowed with wisdom, one develops joy in the teachings of the Great Vehicle, and faith and devotion increase. This is the eighth subsequent praise. "Two doors quickly attain enlightenment," which means that one will also attain the door of Samadhi and the door of Dharani. This is the ninth subsequent praise. He will attain unsurpassed enlightenment without delay in three countless eons. This is the tenth subsequent praise. The distinction of the uncertain is that uncertain Bodhisattvas are separated from the Great Vehicle. "The distinction of the uncertain" means explaining which of the eight obstacles is difficult. "The distinction of the uncertain" means that those of uncertain Bodhisattva lineage, who previously practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva, later encounter spiritual friends such as Shravakas and think that unsurpassed enlightenment must be accomplished in three countless eons. Therefore, they practice for only about three lifetimes of their own, thinking, "I will take the fruit of a Shravaka." They abandon the conduct of a Bodhisattva and enter the conduct of a Shravaka, which is called uncertain. Those of uncertain lineage will be separated from the practice of the Great Vehicle, which is the meaning. "The explanation of the supreme vehicle" means teaching the Great Vehicle. Thus, to counteract the eight kinds of obscurations, it is not the vehicle of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas that is taught, but the Great Vehicle is taught, hence it is called "the explanation of the supreme vehicle." To counteract the obscuration of slandering the Buddha, it is said, "Oneself, at that time, at that moment, is the perfectly complete Buddha." Some sentient beings think that the Tathagatas of the past appeared during the auspicious eon and the auspicious time, possessing excellent insight, The Buddha's pure lands are pure, like the color of crystal, sentient beings have no discrimination, the Tathagata's lifespan is long, and the size of the body is large.
