That is to say. The path to attain the wisdom of omniscience, namely the grounds and perfections, and the selflessness of persons and phenomena, are extremely profound. Only the noble ones can comprehend it, ordinary people cannot understand it. Therefore, by properly attending to it, the Great Vehicle will not become a place of fear. 'Following after' means that when the Blessed One taught the Hearer Vehicle in places like Shravasti, he also taught the Great Vehicle at the same time. They arose simultaneously, appearing to be taught at the same time. If one should not fear the Hearer Vehicle, why should one fear the Great Vehicle? By properly attending to this and analyzing it, one will not fear the Dharma of the Great Vehicle. This is its meaning. 'Teaching various things' means that if the Great Vehicle only taught emptiness and non-existence, then it would indeed be a place of fear. But it does not only teach emptiness, it also teaches various dharmas such as the aggregates, elements, sources, grounds, and perfections, as well as various paths. Therefore, this teaching of emptiness also has some hidden meanings. If one thinks about it properly, one will not fear the Great Vehicle. This is its meaning. 'Always possessing the teaching from many doors' means that 'many' refers to many sutras such as the Lankavatara Sutra and the Prajnaparamita Sutra. 'Door' refers to the different names for teaching emptiness. In order to comprehend emptiness, it is taught with many different names such as unborn, unarisen, empty by nature, and without things. 'Always' means that it is not taught only once, but continuously. Thus, emptiness is continuously taught with many different names in all the sutras. Therefore, emptiness appears to be very important and significant. If it were not significant, the Blessed One would only say it once and then not say it again. If one thinks about it properly, one will not fear the Great Vehicle. This is its meaning. 'Not as it is said' means there is no Buddha.
