It is called 'aspiring mental engagement'. Or, at the time of initial practice, one thinks, 'May I enter the pāramitās in a non-conceptual, non-discriminating manner.' Having made this aspiration and manifestly accumulated it in one's mind, one manifestly attains enlightenment. When one attains the wisdom of non-discrimination, one will enter the pāramitās in a non-conceptual, non-discriminating manner. This is called 'aspiring for non-discrimination'. 'Grasping mental engagement' is for the sake of grasping the Dharma and meaning that are specific to the pāramitās. Holding the Dharma and meaning that explain the six pāramitās in one's mind without forgetting is called 'mental engagement'. Among these, that which becomes the cause of the pāramitās is called 'Dharma', and that which becomes the result is called 'meaning'. 'Obtaining conditions mental engagement' is for the sake of perfecting the pāramitās and manifestly accumulating the true aspiration that is in accordance with them. Wherever one is born in future lives, may one be endowed with virtuous spiritual friends, close relatives, and friends who are in accordance with the perfection of the six pāramitās, as well as body and possessions. Making such an aspiration is called 'obtaining conditions mental engagement'. The power of abandoning the seven types of inverted perceptions is knowledge, and likewise, the four perceptions of wonder and non-wonder. The meaning is that by meditating on the six pāramitās, seeing the power of abandoning the seven types of inverted perceptions, and likewise, by mentally engaging with the four perceptions of wonder and mentally engaging with the perceptions of non-wonder, the elements will also increase. 'Grasping the non-existent as existent' means that if the person of imputation and the Dharma of imputation do not exist, but one sees them as existing entities, this is called 'grasping the non-existent as existent'. This is one type of inversion. 'Grasping faults as virtues' means that the phenomena of samsara are faulty because they are impermanent, painful, impure, and without self. But grasping them as permanent, pleasurable, and pure is grasping them as virtues. This is two types of inversion. Grasping virtues

In the saying "clinging to what is not meritorious," when one attains nirvana, all afflictions and suffering are eliminated, thus it is peaceful and blissful. Therefore, if it is meritorious, but children regard it as annihilation and a precipice, this is called clinging to what is not meritorious, which are the three inversions. In the saying "clinging to all conditioned things as permanent and blissful," the word "all" here is directed to one side, using the unconditioned, all conditioned things with outflows, and all unconditioned things without outflows, such as the noble path, are impermanent because they are momentary and disintegrating, but to perceive them as stable is called clinging to all conditioned things as permanent, which are the four inversions. All conditioned things with outflows are tormented by the three and eight kinds of suffering, so they are painful, but to perceive them as excellent is called clinging to bliss, which is the fifth inversion. In the saying "clinging to all dharmas as self," the word "all" here is extended to include all meanings. All conditioned and unconditioned, with outflows and without outflows, dharmas are selfless in both the person and the nature of dharma. But to perceive them as having inherent existence is called clinging to all dharmas as self, which is the sixth inversion. In the saying "perversely clinging to nirvana as not peaceful," nirvana is the pacification of the turmoil of afflictions and the elimination of all suffering, so it is peaceful, but to perceive it as a place of unease is called perversely clinging to nirvana as not peaceful, which is the seventh inversion. As antidotes to these, there are the three samadhis of emptiness and so forth, and through the collection of dharmas, one will come to truly perceive. In the antidotes to "clinging to non-existence as existence, clinging to faults as virtues, and clinging to virtues as non-virtues," the three samadhis of emptiness, the samadhi of wishlessness, and the samadhi of signlessness are explained. For the antidotes to clinging to conditioned things as permanent and blissful, clinging to all dharmas as self, and perversely clinging to nirvana as not peaceful, the four collections of dharmas are shown. Thus.
