May I be endowed with virtuous spiritual friends who can accomplish [my goals], as well as relatives, friends, and the necessary conditions such as body and possessions. To make such aspirations is called aspiration-mindfulness. Joyful-mindfulness is: "Ema! May I accomplish generosity and so forth, may I truly accomplish them!" This is called joyful aspiration. Since one cannot attain perfect enlightenment without accomplishing the perfections, one must practice the six perfections wherever one is born. "Ema! How wonderful it would be if in each and every lifetime I could have the nature to accomplish the six perfections!" To think in this way is called joyful-mindfulness. Thus, these three mindfulnesses should be combined with instruction and subsequent teaching. After accomplishment, instruction and subsequent teaching are explained. It is also said below: "Thus, well accomplished, true instruction and teaching." This is because it is said in this way. Among these, the three mindfulnesses of armor, aspiration, and joy are combined with the occasion of instruction and teaching. How are they combined? One puts on armor in order to receive instruction and teaching, one makes aspirations, and one generates joy. "Ema! May the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas reveal instruction and teaching to me in this way!" It is for the sake of making such aspirations and rejoicing in this way. Action-mindfulness with skillful means is: "By means of conceptualizations, one combines all aspects with generosity and so forth, and one is mindful." It is said in this way. After instruction and teaching, action-mindfulness with skillful means is explained. Among these, action-mindfulness with skillful means is: Even though I have not personally performed generosity and so forth, if I see those who practice the six perfections, I rejoice with the conceptualizations of my mind, generate joy, and combine them in order to perfect the perfections by tasting their flavor, and I contemplate in my mind. This is called action-mindfulness with skillful means. "Having obtained power, there is joy, the six perfections such as generosity are abundant, complete giving and offering, reliance and loving-kindness!" It is said in this way. With skillful means

After the act of attention, it is time to explain the joy of attention, so it is explained. There are also four types of joy of attention. Among them, there are six types of giving, from the giving of giving to the giving of wisdom, and there are six by six types of wisdom, from the giving of wisdom to the wisdom of wisdom. One Paramita has six by six Paramitas, so the six by six of giving and so on are called dense. Obtaining the power of one having six is the first joy of attention. Placing the six Paramitas in the state of collecting things and completely maturing sentient beings is the second joy of attention. Among the six Paramitas, the giving Paramita is used to offer gains and respect to the Tathagata. The remaining five Paramitas are used to offer the Tathagata through practice. This is the third joy of attention. Relying on a virtuous friend in order to seek a virtuous friend who teaches the Paramitas without reversing them is the fourth joy of attention. There are four types of loving-kindness attention, namely loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. The detailed definitions of these will be explained below. The six types of giving and so on, from the giving of giving to wisdom, obtaining power, are called dense. There are also six types of giving, from the giving of giving to the giving of wisdom. Having six in this way is called dense, and obtaining such power is the first joy of attention. So how are there six types of giving? Like this, the five aggregates of virtuous nature are called giving. The five aggregates of giving nature, wanting to give internal and external things, are called the giving of giving. Or calling wealth and grains and so on giving, when giving to others, it is called the giving of giving. What is the discipline of giving like? When sentient beings are placed in discipline, or the discipline of teaching discipline is called the giving of discipline. Similarly, the six types of discipline and so on should also be inferred.
