That is to say, for those whose lineage is uncertain and who have not seen the meaning of the Great Vehicle, in order to explain how they manifest enlightenment. Because that which has not done the meaning, in the absence of a Buddha, the meaning of meditation, diligent and incarnate, for the sake of incarnation, relying on this, one obtains enlightenment. Thus it is said. For example, those who have not separated from the desire of the desire realm, and whose lineage of Hearers is uncertain because they have not seen the truth, are those who have not done the meaning, that is, ordinary beings, or those who dwell on the ground of aspiring conduct. Those who have not done the meaning, after dying from the desire realm, are reborn in the long-lived gods of the desire realm. Thus, while dwelling in the long-lived gods, when the great eon is destroyed, the teacher Buddha and his teachings disappear and vanish, and then they are born again into the desire realm. Having been born into the desire realm, they strive diligently to attain the meditation of the form realm. And why do they strive for meditation? To incarnate incarnations, they strive for meditation for the sake of desire. Having incarnated incarnations, relying on that incarnation, that incarnation does the work of sentient beings in the three realms, accumulates the accumulations of merit and wisdom, and finally manifests enlightenment, that is the meaning. The meaning here is that the lineage of Hearers is uncertain, and this is the person who has not seen the truth. Becoming a scholar means that an ordinary being, or one who dwells on the ground of aspiring conduct, becomes a Hearer of the Tathagata and dies, and is reborn in the long-lived gods of the desire realm. Born in the time of no Buddha means that from the long-lived gods, also in the desire realm, it means born when the Tathagata does not dwell in the world. Diligent from the meaning of meditation and desiring incarnation, relying on those incarnations, one gradually obtains supreme enlightenment, for this, after being born in the desire realm, one strives diligently to obtain the meditation of the form realm. And why do they strive for meditation, they strive for the sake of desiring incarnation, he incarnates incarnations with meditation, and then

Emanations generate the desire realm through various miraculous powers. Its meaning is as follows: Those Shravakas who have not achieved realization and whose lineage is uncertain, when born in the desire realm from among the long-lived gods, their minds clearly dislike external objects, and through the power of familiar speech, they directly realize the noble path without a teacher. Then, having cultivated meditation, they emit emanations of meditation, and the emanations perfect the accumulation of merit and wisdom; that is the time of the Pratyekabuddha. Then, finally, they gradually attain the unsurpassed Bodhi; that is the time of the Buddha. The phrase "considering those three states" refers to the meaning of considering the three states of the Shravaka, the Pratyekabuddha, and the Buddha. The Bhagavan, in the Garland of Glory Sutra, using the example of fire, said that in that way, considering those three states, the Bhagavan also said that first the fire spreads to heavy objects, and then it spreads to the surrounding areas, using this example to explain that having become a Shravaka, one becomes a Pratyekabuddha, and having become a Pratyekabuddha, one becomes a Buddha. That also refers to not having separated from the desire for desire, not having seen the truth, and until being born in the long-lived gods of the desire realm, it is called becoming a Shravaka. Then, having died and transmigrated from the long-lived gods, and having appeared in a time without a Buddha, having accomplished emanations through meditation, and having accumulated the accumulation of merit and wisdom, it is called becoming a Pratyekabuddha. Then, finally, having attained the supreme Bodhi, it is called becoming a Buddha. The phrase "abandoning the body of life and holding the body of emanation" refers to cultivating the characteristics of meditation, the four legs of miraculous power, and making the aspiration, "May this life of mine remain for a while," this is not abandoning, "through the power of this meditation of mine, may the emanation be accomplished," because of accomplishing the emanation, it is called completely holding the emanation. The phrase "completely seeking the verses of the place of knowledge" refers to the word "object" being one meaning, meaning that one verse indicates what the object to be known is.
