In order to prove that it is the Buddha's word, and for the Shravakas to repeat it again. The characteristic of the Buddha's word is: whatever comes from the Sutra Pitaka, also appears in the Vinaya Pitaka, and does not contradict the Dharma nature, if so, then the Mahayana, which teaches that all dharmas are without self-nature, is not like that. Therefore, some say that it is not the Buddha's word. The Shravakas say: The characteristic of the Buddha's word is that in the Sutra Pitaka that teaches time and greatness, whatever comes from the Sutra Pitaka, also appears in the Vinaya Pitaka, and does not contradict the Dharma nature, that is the Buddha's word, and other than that is not the Buddha's word. In this regard, explaining that the aggregates, elements, and sense bases exist is the characteristic of the Sutra Pitaka, while the Mahayana says that all dharmas are without self-nature, therefore it does not come from the Sutra Pitaka, and does not agree with the Sutra Pitaka. The treatise that explains the early seven defeats is the Vinaya Pitaka, and the Vinaya Pitaka also says that if one says there is no Buddha, Dharma, or Sangha, one will fall into defeat. But the Mahayana says there is no Buddha, no Dharma, no Sangha, therefore it does not appear in the Vinaya Pitaka, and does not agree with the Vinaya Pitaka. Conditioned by ignorance, actions and so on arise according to the law, and when ignorance ceases, actions cease and so on, contrary to the law. If it is said that dependent origination is the Dharma nature, then the Mahayana says that all dharmas are unborn and unceasing, therefore it also contradicts the Dharma nature. Therefore, they argue that the Mahayana is not the Buddha's word. Therefore, in order not to contradict the characteristics, verses are composed, meaning that for those who argue in this way, in order to show that this Mahayana does not contradict the characteristics of the Buddha's word, verses are composed. To those Shravakas who argue in this way, say: You say that whatever does not come from the Sutra Pitaka, does not appear in the Vinaya Pitaka, and contradicts the Dharma nature, is not the Buddha's word. Then, among the eighteen schools of Shravakas, do the Sutra Pitaka and Vinaya Pitaka of the Sarvastivadins, because they contradict the Dharma nature, are they the Buddha's word?

Should it be said that it is not? Or is it because it contradicts the Sutra Pitaka, Vinaya Pitaka, and Dharma nature of the venerable Sammitīya, that it is not the word of the Buddha? Should it be said that because they contradict each other, they are not the words of the Buddha? If it is said that because it contradicts the Sutra Pitaka, Vinaya Pitaka, and Dharma nature of the Great Vehicle Śrāvakayāna, it is not the word of the Buddha, then in that case, all the eighteen schools of the Śrāvakayāna scriptures would also become non-Buddha-words because they all contradict each other. If you ask how they contradict, the Sarvāstivāda school does not accept that the Sutras that explain emptiness and reality, such as the venerable Sammitīya, are the words of the Buddha, and the Sarvāstivāda school explains the intermediate state of existence, but the Mahāsāṃghika school rejects it, saying that it is not the word of the Buddha. Thus, the Sutras of the eighteen schools are also inconsistent with each other, the Vinaya is also inconsistent with each other, and the Dharma nature is also inconsistent with each other, so all would become non-Buddha-words. Or, in the Sarvāstivāda school's scriptures, are their own Sutras consistent with each other, the Vinayas consistent internally, and the Dharma nature non-contradictory internally, and is that the word of the Buddha? If so, then it is said: "Arising from one's own nature, Because seen by one's own discipline, Because it is profound and vast, It is not contradictory to Dharma nature." The Mahāyāna also, the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra and the Perfection of Wisdom Sutras, etc., are consistent internally, so they arise from one's own Sutra Pitaka, and that which tames afflictions is called Vinaya, and the Bodhisattva's afflictions are the discriminations that discriminate between existence and non-existence, etc. The antidote to abandoning discrimination, the non-discriminating wisdom, also exists in the Mahāyāna scriptures, so one's own discipline also appears, and the Bodhisattva's Dharma nature is profound and vast, and the profound and vast also arises from the Mahāyāna, so it is not contradictory to Dharma nature. The Mahāyāna is also the word of the Buddha. Among them, because it shows the selflessness of persons and phenomena, it is profound. The ground and the pāramitā
