Because of arising, from beginningless time, neither Ishvara, Vishnu, Brahma, nor anyone else has created the beginning of samsara. Therefore, enduring this is called obtaining forbearance of the unarisen dharma. The so-called "that itself" and "other" refer to "previous" and "later." What has arisen previously does not arise again, and the later manifestations of arising, like the dharma as it appears, will not arise again; this is the meaning of "other unarisen." To explain in detail the meaning of that itself unarisen, the sutra says, "Whatever dharmas have arisen previously will not arise again, because they will not arise as that thing." This means that in samsara, whatever dharmas have arisen and ceased will not arise again. Why? Because the ceased dharma is non-existent, and since it is non-existent, it will not arise again as an existent thing. Therefore, enduring this is enduring the unarisen dharma. To explain in detail the meaning of other unarisen, the sutra says, "Others are also not, because they do not arise in a way that was not previously." This means that in samsara, the dharmas that arise later are also not other arisings. Why? Because only the dharmas as they appear, such as the skandhas, dhatus, and ayatanas, arise, and there are no new beings appearing that did not exist before. Therefore, enduring this is enduring the unarisen dharma. The so-called self-nature is the completely imputed nature, and it never arises. This means that self-nature is unarisen because there is no arising in the completely imputed nature. Why? Because whatever is grasped as a person or a dharma is like a rabbit's horn, completely non-existent, so it will never arise or appear. Therefore, enduring this is enduring the unarisen dharma. The so-called self-nature unarisen is due to the power of others. This means that self-nature unarisen is a characteristic of the other-powered nature. Why? Because the dharmas of the other-powered nature are born from the power of causes and conditions, and their self-nature cannot arise. Therefore, enduring this is enduring the unarisen dharma. The so-called transformation is the perfectly established nature, it is transformation, without arising. This means that transformation

Transformation and unbornness are the nature of the perfectly established. Why? Because the perfectly established, like space, is constant and singular, so it never transforms from one state to another. Therefore, forbearance is also forbearance towards the unborn dharma, that is its meaning. For those who have abandoned the afflictions and attained profound wisdom, it is not seen that afflictions arise, meaning that the absence of arising afflictions is like this: like the noble Arhats, etc., having abandoned the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of cultivation, having attained the wisdom of cessation, afterwards it is not seen that afflictions arise in their mindstream. These noble ones do not see afflictions arising, and this is also forbearance towards the unborn dharma, that is its meaning. Difference refers to the dharmakaya of the Buddhas, meaning that I have no different arising. Undifferentiated arising refers to the dharmakaya of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. The nature of the dharmakaya of all Buddhas is the same. Some Buddhas' dharmakaya arises in this way, some arise in that way, there is no such inconsistent arising. Therefore, forbearance is also forbearance towards the unborn dharma, that is its meaning. In order to fully seek the one vehicle, there are also seven verses, meaning that some sutras say it is one vehicle, there are no three vehicles. Some sutras say it is three vehicles, what does this mean? The sacred teachings have two types: sutras of provisional meaning and sutras of definitive meaning. Among them, saying one vehicle is for the benefit of sentient beings, it is spoken according to intention, so it is provisional meaning. Saying three vehicles is definitive meaning, because there are three vehicles, so it is said to be one vehicle. In order to examine according to what intention it is said, in order to examine the intention of what is said, therefore seven verses are composed, that is its meaning. Dharma and no-self are the same liberation, difference, lineage and two kinds of consideration are obtained, because of emanation and ultimate, the one vehicle is indeed. Meaning that the intention of saying one vehicle is that dharma is the same and no-self is the same.
