The nature of the perfectly accomplished is as described above. In short, the nature of the perfectly accomplished is explained in three ways: self-nature, completely afflicted, pure nature, and non-conceptual nature. Among them, "Unreal and real, real and unreal are equal," this verse shows the self-nature. "Not peaceful and peaceful," this verse shows the completely afflicted and pure nature. Not peaceful explains the nature of the completely afflicted, and peaceful explains the pure nature. "Non-conceptual" explains the non-conceptual nature. Now we will explain the symbols, which are the basis, the established, the mirror, the appearance, and the place. Among them, "If one focuses on the conforming Dharma," refers to the basis being focused on the Dharma of conforming qualities. In this regard, the Dharma spoken by the Buddhas after realizing the selflessness of persons and phenomena, namely the twelve divisions of scripture, is called the Dharma of conforming qualities. In the state of ordinary beings, listening to, contemplating, and meditating on the twelve divisions of scripture is focusing on the Dharma of conforming qualities. "Appropriate attention," refers to the established being the ground of practice of faith, and with three or four aspects, in the heat stage, one understands that names are not real; in the peak stage, one understands that all phenomena are illusory; in the forbearance stage, one abandons the object of grasping; in the stage of the supreme worldly Dharma, one abandons the grasper, this is appropriate attention, called the established. Because it establishes the habit of realizing the Dharma beyond the world in the mind. "Dwelling in the realm of mind," refers to the mirror dwelling in the realm of mind. In the first bhumi, dwelling in the thought that the three realms are only mind is called dwelling in the realm of mind. That is, what was said above about dwelling in name is called dwelling in the realm of mind. The realm of mind is emptiness. Abandoning names that grasp and are grasped, dwelling in the nature of the four aggregates without duality is called dwelling in the realm of mind. So, why is it called a mirror? Because the mirror

Just as images appear within, that wisdom completely and without error comprehends all knowable things, therefore it is called a mirror. It sees existence and non-existence as they are. The term 'manifestation' refers to the supramundane wisdom from the second to the tenth bhumis. Manifestation means that with wisdom, one sees what exists as existing, and what does not exist as not existing. Among these, the dependent nature and the perfectly established nature are seen as existing, while the imputed nature is seen as non-existent. Abiding refers to abiding in the state of Buddhahood, attaining transformation. The characteristic of transformation is like what was said earlier when explaining transformation: if the faculties and so forth are transformed, one will attain such qualities. Among these, the basis and the support, the mirror and manifestation, are the characteristics of the cause. Abiding is the characteristic of the result. In short, these words indicate the five paths: the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of consummation. Among these, focusing on similar phenomena indicates the path of accumulation. Proper attention indicates the path of preparation. Abiding in the nature of mind indicates the path of seeing. Seeing existence and non-existence as they are indicates the path of meditation. Abiding indicates the path of consummation. The phrase 'through the yoga of the five characteristics' means that the practice of uniting calm abiding and insight is called yoga. Because the five dharmas become the support and basis for practicing yoga, it is called 'through yoga.' The phrase 'becoming the cause of comprehending that' means that the Buddha's comprehension of the selflessness of persons and phenomena is the cause. The twelve branches of scripture are the result. Because there is no difference in meaning between comprehension and the explanation of the twelve branches of scripture, all the teachings that are explained are called similar phenomena. To explain the meaning of transformation in the state of Buddhahood, it is said: 'Therefore, it becomes equality, the noble lineage is extremely stainless, there is no questioning of sameness or difference, it does not desire the nature of increase.' This means that in the pure nature of the uncontaminated dharma realm, it is the lineage of the noble ones.
