Having become, and through higher vision, contemplating the qualities of the Thus-Gone One or the fruit of samadhi, generating the characteristics of joy and clarity of mind, is the meaning of that. Those are sequentially connected with the four legs of magical power. The so-called "holding to contentment" and so on, indicate the leg of magical power of non-desire. The so-called "wandering" and so on, indicate the leg of magical power of diligence. The so-called "antidote to excitement" and so on, indicate the leg of magical power of mind. The so-called "antidote to depression" and so on, indicate the leg of magical power of conduct. Connect them sequentially. By abiding in the mind, contemplating the aspect of believing in the perfection that transcends the world, means that having obtained the four legs of magical power, abiding in the mind is to obtain worldly samadhi, or abiding in the mind is to obtain the four samadhis of desire conduct. Obtaining the wisdom of non-duality in the first ground is called transcendence of the world, and at that time the accumulation of merit and wisdom is called perfection, so in order to obtain the perfection that transcends the world by obtaining worldly samadhi, one should practice. How to practice? Practice the aspect of believing, that is, at the time of the first ground, the accumulation of merit and wisdom is perfect, and the accumulation of merit and wisdom can be accomplished and obtained, thinking in this way is called practicing the aspect of believing, which shows the power of faith. How to practice in the aspect of believing, just as practicing in the aspect of diligence, that is, just as believing in the aspect of believing in the characteristics of the perfection that transcends the world with the power of faith, so also with diligence, one repeatedly familiarizes oneself with thinking about and manifesting that perfection that transcends the world, which is called practicing the aspect of diligence, which shows the power of diligence. The so-called practicing the aspect of not forgetting the Dharma, that is, believing with the power of faith, and manifesting with the power of diligence

Meditating on a dharma that has been made an object, with the characteristic of not being obscured in the mind and appearing clearly in the mind, is called meditating on the aspect of not forgetting the mind. This is indicating the power of mindfulness. As for meditating on the aspect of the mind abiding, it means placing the mind on that very dharma that has not been forgotten by the power of mindfulness, and meditating single-pointedly. This is called meditating on the aspect of the mind abiding. This is indicating the power of concentration. As for meditating on the aspect of thoroughly discriminating, it means that when the mind is placed single-pointedly in that way, wisdom will arise that knows the self and general characteristics of those dharmas without error. That is called meditating on the aspect of thoroughly discriminating. This is indicating the power of wisdom. Up to this point, the five powers have been indicated. Those powers are the mental activities that subdue the unfavorable factors, which are the strengths. From the power of faith to the power of wisdom, the five powers themselves, whenever they are not stolen by the unfavorable factors and are not controlled by them, and when the mind is engaged in a way that subdues the unfavorable factors, are called the five strengths. Among them, the unfavorable factors are lack of faith, laziness, loss of mindfulness, distraction, and perverse wisdom. Whenever one is not stolen by lack of faith, it is called the strength of faith. Whenever one is not stolen by laziness, it is called the strength of diligence. Whenever one is not stolen by loss of mindfulness, it is called the strength of mindfulness. Whenever one is not stolen by distraction, it is called the strength of concentration. Whenever one is not stolen by perverse wisdom, it is called the strength of wisdom. Up to this point, the five strengths have been explained. What is the difference between the five powers and the five strengths? When unfavorable factors such as lack of faith and antidotal factors such as faith arise mixed together, it is called a power. When the unfavorable factors are not mixed and only the antidotal factors arise, it is called a strength. That is the distinction. As for meditating on the aspect of clearly manifesting perfect enlightenment, perfect enlightenment is the wisdom of cessation and non-arising.
