That (refers to wisdom). The realization of meaning also transforms through three aspects: it is realized through the three types of wisdom: the wisdom of hearing, the wisdom of thinking, and the wisdom of meditation. To show how it is realized through the wisdom of hearing, as it is said in the Mind's Discrimination: 'As explained by the mind's discrimination, because of firmly grasping onto faith.' It is said thus, because the ear's consciousness is non-discriminating, it cannot realize the meaning. Therefore, what is called 'mind's discrimination' refers to the mind's consciousness that arises after the ear's consciousness, which is accompanied by discrimination, and is called 'mind's discrimination.' When one listens to the Dharma without distraction, listens to the Dharma with a focused mind, listens attentively to the Dharma, and listens to the Dharma with a balanced mind, just as the Khenpo and Acharya say that all phenomena arise from the mind, one holds onto it with faith and devotion. When one listens with the distinction that names, words, letters, and so on, all of these are merely appearances from the mind, and becomes convinced, it is then called obtaining focus on the Dharma through the wisdom of hearing. To show how to focus through the wisdom of the mind, it is said, 'From discrimination, meaning appears.' When one enters into thinking, it is in the very discrimination of the mind that these objects of earth and meaning merely appear. If one does not realize the discrimination of the mind, these objects do not exist separately and independently. When one sees this, it is called obtaining focus on the Dharma through the wisdom of hearing. As explained earlier in the section on obtaining inner and outer focus, if one sees that the object of grasping and the subject of grasping are not different, and that the subject of grasping and the object of grasping are not different, then it is established as obtaining focus on the Dharma through the wisdom of thinking. To show how to obtain focus on the Dharma through the wisdom of meditation, it is said, 'Because the mind abides in name.' 'By mind' means the wisdom of meditation. The term 'name' refers to the formless aggregates such as feeling. When both the grasped and the grasper are not perceived, and one abides only in the suchness that is without object, it is called abiding in name. When it becomes like that

Therefore, obtaining focus on the Dharma through the wisdom of cultivation is called attainment. That is, if, as before, one obtains the non-dual focus that realizes the suchness of all internal and external phenomena, then it is established as having obtained focus on the Dharma through the wisdom of cultivation. The previously mentioned attainment of three types of focus means abiding in that. That is to say, since the attainment of focus on the Dharma, the attainment of inner focus, the attainment of outer focus, and the attainment of the suchness of all internal and external phenomena arise, therefore, the previously mentioned three attainments, such as the attainment of inner and outer focus, also arise solely from the attainment of focus on the Dharma. Therefore, these also abide in and rely on the attainment of focus on the Dharma, and that is its meaning. To fully seek attention, there are five verses, that is to say, if someone asks, after attaining focus, what is the connection to explaining the complete seeking of attention? If, as previously stated, focus is attained, then this is called the attainment of attention and the attainment of samadhi. Therefore, after attaining focus, there is a connection to explaining the occasion of fully seeking attention. Or, if one possesses what kind of distinction in attention, can one attain the previously mentioned focus? It is necessary to determine the distinction of attention that attains this focus. Therefore, after attaining focus, there is a connection to explaining the occasion of attention. Among these, the attention of a yogi is of eighteen types, and for this, there is also a general teaching and a specific teaching, that is, it is taught in two ways. Among these, the so-called "three types" is the general teaching, and from "the doer of actions" and so on, it is the specific teaching. Or, there is a concise teaching and an extensive teaching, the so-called "three types" is the concise teaching, and from "the doer of actions" and so on, it is the extensive teaching. Among the eighteen types of attention, there are the three types of attention, the attention of the doer of actions, and including harm and non-harm together, these two are combined into one, the attention that distinguishes the places of these two, and the attention that is extremely fearful of faith, and the so-called "other extremely desiring doer," which is the other extremely desiring attention, and becoming smaller and
