That is, the meaning of the Great Vehicle. When wise and noble beings who understand the words and sentences obtain it, they generate supreme joy, and because of faith, discipline, hearing, giving, wisdom, shame, and embarrassment, they also become the cause of enjoying the seven noble riches. Therefore, it is also shown that this Dharma becomes the cause of using the wealth of the noble ones. However, the Hearers do not believe that this Great Vehicle was spoken by the Buddha. Because they fear refuting that it was not spoken by the Buddha, and that it is impossible for the Great Vehicle to have three kinds of merits, in order to prove that the Great Vehicle is the Buddha's teaching, some say that this Great Vehicle is not the Buddha's word either. They mistakenly believe that the good is in the back, and in order to prove to them that it is the Buddha's word, starting from the distinction of reasoning, they said the verses. The Hearers' rebuttal is that the Hearers' Tripitaka is the Buddha's teaching. Because all that is the Buddha's teaching has the three kinds of merits mentioned above. The characteristic of the Buddha's teaching is that the characteristics of the Hearer Vehicle and the Great Vehicle are inconsistent. The Great Vehicle is not the word of the Buddha. For example, the Hearer's Sutra says that there are aggregates, realms, and sources, while the Great Vehicle says that all dharmas are emptiness; the Hearer Vehicle says that it is the law of birth and death, while the Great Vehicle says that it is neither born nor ceases; the Hearer Vehicle says that if you abandon the afflictions that should be abandoned by seeing and meditating, you will attain Nirvana, while the Great Vehicle says that it is self-nature Nirvana. Therefore, because it is inconsistent with the characteristics of the Buddha's teaching, the Great Vehicle is not the Buddha's teaching, so how can it have three kinds of merits? No. They mistakenly believe this way, and in order to prove to those who mistakenly believe that the Great Vehicle is the Buddha's teaching, a verse is used to show the eight kinds of reasoning of the Buddha's words. Eight kinds of reasoning

It is. Previously unpredicted, and occurring together, and not being an object of practice, and being established, and existing, and not existing, and being an antidote, and because of different sounds. If the Hearers say, 'This Dharma called the Great Vehicle is for the purpose of causing the True Dharma to decline and disappear after the Buddha's Nirvana. They have made many teachings that say that the Prajnaparamita and others do not exist, and then they establish it, saying that it is the Buddha's word. Therefore, the Great Vehicle is not the Buddha's word.' In response to this, it is said, 'Previously unpredicted.' If, in order to cause the Buddha's Dharma to decline, the Holy Teachings are disturbed, if someone makes the Prajnaparamita and others, and establishes it, saying that it is the Buddha's word, then, the cause of disturbing the Holy Teachings, like the king Kṛkī's dream, in which he dreamed seven kinds of dreams that were predicted, before Nirvana, the True Dharma will be destroyed and decline, and there will also appear people who say that the Dharma of Prajnaparamita and others is emptiness. They will say that it is the Buddha's word, but that is not the Buddha's word, but destroys the Holy Teachings. In the previously stated reasons, like that, it was not predicted, therefore the Great Vehicle is the Buddha's word. If the Hearers say, 'When the World-Honored One preached the Hearer Vehicle in Shravasti and other places, he did not preach the Great Vehicle at that time, but the Dharma called the Great Vehicle appeared after the Buddha's Nirvana, therefore the Great Vehicle is not the Buddha's Dharma.' In response to this, it is said, 'Because it occurs together.' When the World-Honored One preached in Shravasti and other places

Since practices concerning discipline and asceticism arise, we suspect that this was done by some Lokayatas or heretics. In response to this, in order to show that this is unreasonable, it was said, "It is not an object of practice." Even those that explain the profound and vast characteristics of the earth and the perfections, if they cannot understand them, how could they possibly realize them like they do? That is impossible. Even in the treatises of heretics and the like, they explain the earth and the perfections, as well as the slightest unborn and unceasing dharma, and the nature of the absence of entities in them, but they will not develop faith, because they have not become objects of practice, so it cannot be said that they were done by heretics or Lokayatas. Furthermore, the Shravakas might think, "This Mahayana was not taught by the Buddha. Rather, someone directly realized the meaning of the earth and the perfections, and the meaning of no arising and no ceasing, and then said that it was taught by the Buddha." Therefore, it was said, "Becoming the taker." In this way, it is established that this Mahayana is the word of the Buddha. How is it established? Because the person who can understand the earth and the perfections, and the meaning of no arising and no ceasing, is called the Buddha. Therefore, all the words spoken by him are the words of the Buddha, so this Mahayana is established as the word of the Buddha. "Existing and non-existing and non-existent," combining these words is "If it exists, it exists, if it does not exist, it does not exist." If we examine the Shravakas, did the Bhagavan teach the three vehicles of the Shravaka vehicle, the Pratyekabuddha vehicle, and the Mahayana, or not? The answer is that he taught the Mahayana, it exists. If the Mahayana exists, then in that case, this Prajnaparamita and so on is the Mahayana, therefore it is established as the word of the Buddha. Because apart from this, the dharmas of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas and heretics and the like should not be called the Mahayana. Why should they not be called the Mahayana? This will be explained in detail below. If the Shravakas say: There are not three vehicles, there is only one vehicle, which is the Shravaka vehicle, if it is practiced by those with sharp wisdom, they will become Buddhas.
