་བ་ནས། མོས་པ་ལ་ཞུམ་པ་དགག་པའི་བར་དུ་བསྟན་ནས། ད་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་ཉན་ཐོས་དང་རང་སངས་རྒྱས་དག་ཐེག་པ་ཆུང་དུ་ལ་མོས་པའི་བསོད་ནམས་པས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་རྣམས་ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཆོས་ལ་མོས་པ་ལྷག་པར་བསོད་ནམས་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ་ཇེ་བསྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་སྨོས་སོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་དོན་ཏོ། །ཇི་ལྟར་བསོད་ནམས་འཕེལ་བ་ནི། །གཞན་ལ་བཟའ་བ་བྱིན་པས་སོ། །དེ་ལྟར་དེ་དག་ཟོས་པ་ནི། །བསོད་ནམས་ཆེན་པོ་འབྱུང་མ་ཡིན། །ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ལ། འདི་ལྟར་ཁ་ཟས་ཀྱི་རོ་ལ་ཆགས་པ་དང༌། ལུས་མཛེས་པར་འདོད་པ་དང༌། རྒྱགས་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཁ་ཟས་ཟོས་ན་ནི་ཁ་ཟས་དེ་ཉིད་བསོད་ནམས་མ་ཡིན་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །འགྲངས་པར་བྱ་བ་ཙམ་གྱི་བསམ་པས་ཟོས་ན་ནི་བསོད་ནམས་སུ་ཡང་མི་འགྱུར། བསོད་ནམས་མ་ཡིན་པར་ཡང་མི་འགྱུར་རོ། །གང་གི་ཚེ་རྒྱགས་པ་ལ་སོགས་པའི་བསམ་པས་ཟ་བ་ནི་མ་ཡིན་གྱི། དཔེར་ན་ཤིང་རྟ་ཁལ་དགལ་བའི་ཕྱིར་མིག་དང་སྲོག་ཤིང་མར་གྱིས་བསྐུས་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ། བདག་གི་དོན་དུ་དགེ་བ་སྤྱད་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་ལུས་བརྟན་པར་བྱ་བའི་ཕྱིར་བདག་ ཉིད་ཟོས་ན་བསོད་ནམས་སུ་འགྱུར་ཡང་བསོད་ནམས་ཆེན་པོར་མི་འགྱུར་ཏེ། ཁ་ཟས་དེ་ཉིད་སེམས་ཅན་ལ་ཕན་པར་བྱ་བའི་ཕྱིར་གཞན་ལ་བྱིན་ན་བསོད་ནམས་ཆེ་ཞིང་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པར་འགྱུར་རོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་དོན་ཏོ། །འདི་ནི་དཔེའོ། །དེའི་དོན་བསྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར། ཕ་རོལ་དོན་གནས་བསྟན་པས་ནི། མདོ་ལས་གསུངས་པའི་ཆོས་ཐོབ་འགྱུར། །ཞེས་བྱ་བ་སྨོས་ཏེ། ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་མདོ་སྡེའི་ནང་ནས་ནི་ཕ་རོལ་གྱི་དོན་བྱ་བའི་ཐབས་སྟོན་པས་ཁྱད་པར་ཐག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཆོས་ལ་མོས་པར་གྱུར་པ་དང༌། ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་མདོ་སྡེ་དེ་དང་དེ་དག་གི་ནང་ནས་ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཆོས་བཀླགས་ཤིང་མཉན་ནས་རྗེས་སུ་བསྔགས་པ་བཅུ་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་རོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ལ་སོགས་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་དེ་དང་དེ་དག་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་རོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་དོན་ཏོ། །རང་དོན་གནས་པའི་ཆོས་བསྟན་པས་འཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་བ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ལ་ཉན་ཐོས་ཀྱི་ཐེག་པའི་ནང་ནས་ནི་བདག་གི་དོན་དུ་འགྱུར་བ་ཙམ་གྱི་ཐབས་ཤིག་སྟོན་པར་ཟད་བས་ན་ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཆོས་ལ་མོས་པ་ཙམ་གྱིས་བསོད་ནམས་དང་ཡོན་ཏན་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་བ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་དོན་ཏོ། །མོས་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་བསྡུ་བར་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ལ། དེ་ལྟར་ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཆོས་ལ་མོས་པ་བསོད་ནམས་ཆེ་བར་བསྟན་ནས་སྤྱིར་ནི་ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཆོས་ལ་མོས་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད

从……开始，到阻止对信仰的沮丧为止进行了阐述。现在用两个偈颂来进一步阐明，通过声闻和独觉对小乘的信仰所获得的福德，菩萨们对大乘佛法的信仰所获得的福德更为殊胜，是不可估量的，为了说明这一点，宣说了这些偈颂，这就是它的意义。那么，福德是如何增长的呢？是通过将食物布施给他人。像那样，他们吃掉那些食物，并不会产生巨大的福德。这指的是，如果因为贪恋食物的味道，想要身体美丽，或者为了肥胖而吃食物，那么食物本身就不会变成福德。如果仅仅以吃饱为目的而吃，那么也不会变成福德，也不会变成非福德。什么时候不是以肥胖等想法而吃呢？例如，就像为了让马车能拉更多的货物，用酥油涂抹车轴和轮毂一样，为了自己的利益而行善，为了让身体健康而自己吃东西，虽然会变成福德，但不会变成巨大的福德。如果将同样的食物为了利益众生而布施给他人，那么福德就会变得巨大且不可估量，这就是它的意义。这是一个比喻。为了阐释它的意义，说了“通过阐述利益他人的要点，就能获得经中所说的法”。也就是说，从大乘经典的内部，通过展示利益他人的方法，就会特别倾向于殊胜的大乘佛法。并且，从那些大乘经典中，通过阅读和听闻大乘佛法，就能获得十种随喜等等的功德，这就是它的意义。通过阐述安住于自身利益的佛法，是无法获得的。也就是说，从小乘的教法中，仅仅是展示了为了自身利益而努力的方法，因此仅仅是对大乘佛法的信仰，是无法获得福德和功德的，这就是它的意义。收集信仰的果报的偈颂是这样说的：像这样，阐述了对大乘佛法的信仰能带来巨大的福德之后，总的来说，对大乘佛法的信仰所带来的果报是不可估量的。

From... having explained up to preventing discouragement in faith. Now, with two verses, it is further clarified that through the merit of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas' faith in the Lesser Vehicle, the Bodhisattvas' faith in the Great Vehicle Dharma is even more superior, immeasurable merit. To illustrate this, these verses are spoken, that is the meaning. How does merit increase? It is through giving food to others. Like that, they eat those foods, and great merit does not arise. This refers to, if one eats food because of attachment to the taste of food, wanting a beautiful body, or for the sake of getting fat, then the food itself will not become merit. If one eats with the mere intention of getting full, then it will not become merit, nor will it become non-merit. When is it that one does not eat with the intention of getting fat, etc.? For example, just as one greases the axles and hubs of a cart with butter so that the cart can carry more goods, similarly, for the sake of one's own benefit, to practice virtue, to strengthen the body, if one eats for oneself, although it will become merit, it will not become great merit. If the same food is given to others for the purpose of benefiting sentient beings, then the merit will become great and immeasurable, that is the meaning. This is an example. To explain its meaning, it is said, "By explaining the key points of benefiting others, one will obtain the Dharma spoken in the Sutras." That is, from within the Great Vehicle Sutras, by showing the method of benefiting others, one will especially incline towards the superior Great Vehicle Dharma. And, from those Great Vehicle Sutras, by reading and hearing the Great Vehicle Dharma, one will obtain the ten rejoicings, etc., that is the meaning. By explaining the Dharma that abides in one's own benefit, it is not obtained. That is, from the teachings of the Lesser Vehicle, it merely shows a method of striving for one's own benefit, therefore, merely having faith in the Great Vehicle Dharma will not obtain merit and qualities, that is the meaning. The verses collecting the results of faith say this: Like this, having explained that faith in the Great Vehicle Dharma brings great merit, in general, the result of faith in the Great Vehicle Dharma is immeasurable.
