Some Bodhisattvas practice the perfection of generosity, some practice the perfection of discipline, and so on. Because their practices are different, they are called 'different in what they do,' meaning their activities are different. Because they accomplish the benefit of beings whose number can be measured, they are called 'always close to the benefit of small beings.' Because all merge into Buddhahood, it means that all those Bodhisattvas attain the level of Buddhahood, and after manifesting enlightenment, they merge into and directly realize the pure realm of Dharma. At the time of manifesting enlightenment, all also abide and rely on the place of the pure realm of Dharma, so it is called 'the place is also one.' At the time of Buddhahood, because one also attains the omniscient wisdom in which all knowable things are manifest, it is called 'one great realization.' At the time of becoming a Buddha, just as one Buddha manifests activities and emanations, other Buddhas also only manifest the same activities. When one Buddha manifests emanations, because all Buddhas are one in the Dharmakaya, other Buddhas are also emanations, so it is called 'activities merged into one.' From the time of manifesting enlightenment onwards, countless and immeasurable beings gather and mature in one instant, so it is called 'always also those. Great assembly of beings, great wealth and enjoyment.' This is a verse made to rejoice the Buddha himself. The Buddha is the one who possesses the five dharmas, etc. Because the Buddha possesses immeasurable qualities as mentioned above, this verse is composed to generate the thought that it is difficult to attain Buddhahood. This is a brief verse explaining the meaning of all-knowing wisdom. The meaning of the final summary has three aspects: the perfection of self-benefit, the perfection of other-benefit, and becoming the source of happiness. Thus. The Buddha-ground is incomparable, Endowed with white and pure Dharma. It means, 'Thus' is said according to the reason or order mentioned above. The pure realm of Dharma and the four

The reason is that the realm of the Buddha is called the Buddha-ground. The qualities of the Buddha-ground, such as strength and fearlessness, are unsurpassed qualities that others, such as the Shravakas, do not possess, so it is called unparalleled. Such unparalleled qualities, possessing immeasurable white dharmas such as strength and fearlessness, are therefore the meaning of "self-benefit is perfect." Causing sentient beings to become Buddhas is because sentient beings are benefited by various kinds of wealth in this life, making them happy, and in other generations, they are placed in the heavens and liberation, thus benefiting them, so it is called the cause of benefit and happiness. This shows the perfection of benefiting others. The so-called "excellent and inexhaustible source of bliss" refers to the fact that although individual beings, such as Indra and Brahma, have bliss, because it is contaminated bliss, it cannot be called excellent. When perfect enlightenment is attained, because it possesses uncontaminated bliss, it is called the source of excellent bliss. Although the noble Shravakas and others have uncontaminated bliss, when they completely abandon the residue of the five aggregates and enter nirvana without residue, it will disappear, so it is called the exhaustion of bliss. But in the Buddha-ground, all the bliss will not disappear until the end of samsara, so it is called the source of inexhaustible bliss, which shows that it becomes the source of bliss. The so-called "family of good wisdom and Bodhicitta" refers to the fact that because they possess the wisdom of practicing the six paramitas, Bodhisattvas are called good wisdom. Supreme Bodhi, as mentioned above, is the perfection of self-benefit, the perfection of benefiting others, and becoming the source of bliss, so in order to obtain supreme Bodhi, Bodhicitta is generated, this is its meaning. The so-called "brief summary" refers to the fact that from the first chapter of the Ornament of the Sutras to this point, if the content that has appeared is briefly shown, that is the meaning. The so-called "first summary" refers to the fact that in short, fourteen contents have been shown up to this point. Among them, the first question is, why is this treatise called the Ornament of the Sutras? The answer is, for this reason, it is called the Ornament of the Sutras.
